Lodgings in Hawkshead

This was a lovely stay. We had a safe place indoors to store and charge our bikes. The room was pretty with a comfortable bed and nice linens. We did not have dinner there but we did get the included breakfast. The rhubarb French toast with clotted cream was the most delicious French toast I’ve ever had in my life. My husband’s breakfast sandwich was also wonderful. The inn is right in the center of town and next to the church, and we wandered around for hours. The staff were efficient and pleasant. Don’t forget to stop and the honor box cake stand across the street on your way out. Mmmm. It was one of our more memorable stays in England.

Beautifully renovated hotel. Very comfortable, pleasant, and relaxing.

This is our second time at YHA Hawkshead. It is a beautiful place and alot to offer in surroundings. Esthwaite lake views while walking down the hostel away from hawkshead village are amazing. Far sawrey area is so beautiful. We love the place and staff. Excellent value for money.

Perfect location and huge parking spaces right outside. Excellent welcome with carefully considered little touches. Exceptionally high quality furnishings and attention to detail.

Loved the historic character of the building and the setting in a small, peaceful village.

Nice place and location and nice host

Room was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is wonderfully relaxing and peaceful. From the Victoria sponge cake and other dessert treats, to the broad breakfast selection…all was delicious!

We loved the central location. We could take walks from our front door and walk into town in less than five minutes.
