Sherry and Lauren were fantastic hosts during our two-night stay at the Pavilion Guest House. The ensuite bedroom was spotless and very cosy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Having a fridge and kettle in the room was also very convenient. The full English breakfast was delicious and very filling - a real highlight, especially before a full day of hiking in the Lake District. There was also the option of cereal and toast with jam, which was a nice addition. We were able to park on a nearby street, which made things easy. The location is great: close to the Lake District (around a 35-minute drive to Old Man of Coniston, a fantastic hike) and some incredible beaches. Would highly recommend!
Repeat customer. Facility is unchanged from 2022. As before, limited kitchen hours, but they disclose that up front (bakery across the street is fresh each morning...). Online photos are accurate.
Good central location. Excellent facilities.
I loved that the caravan was clean and it had the basic stuff needed to cook a small meal. I also loved the fact that it had central heating. No issues whatsoever with hot water or heating.
The location is gorgeous - so quiet and peaceful, very remote feel - but easily accessible to get out and explore. The room is perfect - spacious, great views and well equipped. The owners were so incredibly helpful and kind, responding quickly to queries I sent before and during our stay.
Beautifully appointed cosy family cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and pillows with gorgeous smelling sheets. Towels provided. Travel cot at no extra cost with sheet already on it. Sparklingly clean. Lovely shower. Pretty planters outside make it very inviting. Welcoming owners who were not intrusive. Friendly dogs. Designated parking. Outside seating. Stunning views from the farm entry. Towels provided for dogs. Hooks as you enter cottage to put wet coats etc if you've been caught out or up a fell! With space to take off muddy walking boots on a tiled floor. USB and C point charger points incorporated into the bedside lamps. Bins in bedrooms, sitting area and bathroom. Visible farm animals that were pleasantly quiet and could not be heard in the cottage (unless you had windows open!) Brilliant location for coast and travel further in land over the tops. Great pub down the road with friendly staff and yummy food. (The Brown Cow)
Exceptional views and location totally as described the on site bar was very close with a good range of drinks we never ate there
The property was well situated on the marina in peaceful surroundings. It was perfect for watersports and local attractions, and there was a bar on site. Gill and Kev informed us of new local attractions in the area, and there was information about them at home. On arrival, the home was well equipped with milk, hot beverages and biscuits.
Loved the location and how it was dog friendly. The caravan was clean, tidy and spacious. Everyone we met on the site was super helpful and friendly. Close to shops so you can do a food shop and all the stuff in the kitchen needed to create the meals.
I have stayed in other accommodations from this host & they have always been outstanding; this was no exception. I know that any accommodation booked through this host will be of a high standard, scrupulously clean & have excellent facilities. The flat was spacious, comfortable & the view of the estuary was beautiful. I enjoyed watching the sunrise over the estuary each morning. Although the flat is situated by the square, the secondary glazing meant that little noise penetrated from outside. The stairs up to the flat are wide & easy to climb. I would happily stay here again
The location was excellent, it was very clean and tidy, beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space and cutlery and plates etc and a plus was the treats that was left for everyone 🙂
We traveled with the dog. Set up really well for dog owners.
Loved the room, the location, the restaurant (one of the best dinners I’ve ever had) and the reasonable price! The entire stay was a treat!!
Lots of things we liked: - The owner, Emiko. It feels that your comfort is really important to her. She helps a lot and pays attention to smallest details. She also knows a lot about whiskey and has a large collection (including a bottle from Israel, where we come from) - The cooker and the house keeper, Dorinne. An amazing English lady that does everything with a smile, prepares delicious meals and keeps the place clean as a hospital. - The location is quiet and remote, exactly what we needed.
The hotel is very convenient to the train station. The rooms were very good sized and clean. The breakfast was reasonably good. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The value was exceptional.
Received directions and lockbox pin code almost instantly, was able to store my pedal bike on the patio, the caravan was spotlessly clean and the wifi was fast, theirs a Smart TV with free view, I used it to watch YouTube, appliances were easy to use, fresh milk of my choice was waiting in the fridge along with quality biscuits, the place is scenic, I was able to get fresh sea air whilst I rode my bike around the coastal path, exactly what I was after for a overnight static caravan stay.
The host was great, the property was exceptional. The location was lovely. We accidentally broke one of the glass shelves of the fridge, we did inform the medic and she was so supportive of that. I can't praise the host enough for being so so good. The place is much recommended
We as a family liked the location of the place.. beautiful scenery & lovely walks with our family dogs..
