Lodgings in Camaiore

Historical and great location

This gorgeous hotel is under new management as of early 2026 and is now called Mulino La Sosta. I had the most wonderful stay there in August 2026, when they’d only been open for a couple months, and I think they’re only going to get better. The building itself is a stunning converted farmhouse, and my room was super comfortable, very clean, and beautifully appointed with all-new modern fixtures. The couple who runs the hotel are so hospitable and went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect — they accommodated an early check-in, tried to help me call a taxi (spoiler, there are no taxis), recommended restaurants in town, and offered to serve breakfast early if I needed it. The breakfast was excellent — a big spread of pastries, breads, meats, and cheeses, as well as granola, yogurt, and a machine where you can boil eggs to the doneness you prefer. The hotel is a mile and a half or two miles outside of the center of Camaiore, so I would recommend getting there by car. It’s possible to walk from the center (I did!), just be careful on the winding roads at night. This place is such a gem — I can’t recommend it enough, and I hope to visit again someday!

We were hiking the Via Francigena and wanted a place near the trail - this property did just that. It's located on a vibrant plaza that our room looked out on, but noise wasn't an issue, even on a Saturday night. Check-in was done by an honest-to-god human which was a blessing after dealing with lockboxes and bad directions at previous stays. The property is located near many fine places to eat. Our room was large and comfortable. We needed a taxi in the morning which the staff helped get (our Italian wasn't up to the job). Breakfast was excellent - just about any- and everything you could want, served in a large dining area.

Wonderful room and very friendly host.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. It is an entire apartment, which we didn’t expect, that was very spacious and playfully decorated right in the center of town. The host was welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible view, impeccable service and support. Blaise and Kate were so welcoming and helpful to recommend where to go. Will be coming back soon!

The hospitality from the owners, beautiful property, wonderful breakfast, wonderful staff.

This was a room in a private home. The entire house was decorated from top to bottom. Very interesting to see the interior of an actual Italian residence. I could have spent a lot longer looking at/admiring all of her stuff.

Location, bigger than described

The host was very kind and helpful when handing over the keys. The apartment was cute, clean, and in a cool location. The bathroom was a little cramped but that is expected. If you're using the AC put in 'cool' mode as it may be in 'dry mode' and that will help the place stay cooler.

You operator a 5 star hotel and restaurant. Everything was perfectly done. Your staff was more than helpful and very thoughtful. We will be back

Bellissimo terrazzo, molto spazioso per una stanza. I letti erano comodi e l'aria condizionata funzionava bene. Lo staff è cordiale e disponibile. La colazione abbastanza varia, se possibile sarebbe apprezzato aggiungere qualcosa di vegano oltre a pane e marmellata.

It was very comfortable for two people and with a great terrace! The location is perfect and close to the beach. The staff were very kind and helpful every time.

Nice and spacious house with A/C. Nice pool

The place was perfect for visiting Camaiore! The location is optimal, the owner was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful, the place is beautiful and the pool was perfect for late July's hot days.
