It was clean and well kept. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of variety and quality food.

Everything was great! The staff is very welcoming, the rooms are spotless, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The location inside the city walls and just beside the canal is fantastic (beautiful and convenient). The breakfast was of excellent quality, offering a wide variety of choices, including excellent fresh fruits and nuts, plus excellent coffee.

Beautiful and pretty hotel in the center of Luca, within walking distance of the main shopping street and all the main attractions to see. Private parking and help with the ZRT zones.

Old estate built in 1789 that has been renovated into a hotel. Beautiful building that gives you a good idea what it was like back in the day. I short of awesome.

Getting ready for my dream wedding in Grand Universe in Lucca was a breathtaking experience. Not only is the place stunning, the staff made me feel super comfortable on my special day. They always were on their best interest to assist me and my guests. I will definetly recommend to anyone that is visiting Lucca to stay at Grand Universe Lucca!

We had a fabulous time at this beautiful hotel. It started with the friendly host Lorenzo who not only gave us a detail tour of the amazing ground/facility but allowed us to check in early. The room is so spacious and graceful designed with the mix of Italian antique and contemporary art. The luxury is in the details and we loved the artistic toiletries. The view from the room is simply beautiful and Tuscan landscape. Although we did not have dinner in the hotel, the dinner setting is romantic and full of charm. To top all of this on the list is the laundry. We had been traveling the whole week all over Tuscany. So it was such a treat we got to do our laundry here. From an American who had lived in Europe before and had been to Tuscany 7 times, I am say this is one of our top choice of hotel.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at B&B Anfiteatro. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is yummy. The location is perfect for exploring Lucca. The brothers who run it are very responsive and kind.

Our stay was really great! The room was super clean, the staff were kind and receptive and breakfast was nice. The decoration is so so pretty and the bed was really comfy! It's also a 5 min or so walk to the wall.

A lovely small hotel. I am guessing at 30 rooms or so, in a quiet setting. Bright, nicely laid out. Feels intimate. Pool and pool area are a gem in a hot Tuscan summer. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very functional with good beds, linen and bathrooms. Great breakfast included and then reasonably priced food and drinks available. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating and I presume from the level if warmth that it is a family-owned place. I am actually quite surprised that it only carries a three-star rating. I would easily have given it fours stars. One good part of that categorization is that it is a real bargain for what you get, even in high season. My girlfriend and I will very happily return here. A find!

It was close to the train station. Clean. Friendly staff. I love the tea room style decor. Beautiful breakfast in the morning. Books to read. All kinds of flavours of teas. Tea cups and kettle in the room.
