Aircon was excellent, beds comfortable, easy to get a cab/Uber into town. Reception lovely. We were there for a concert so was a great budget friendly motel. Facilities were clean

They were very helpful, from taking my last-minute booking, to facilitating an extra night's stay (also at short notice). The location was good and room facilities were perfect.

I have stayed before at the Colonial Rose, I like to be on the ground floor and find it very quiet. My room was set for a person with disabilities and that was not me. So the room was spacious, but a bit cramped in the shower area due to the specially chair/toilet chair. But I love that I can make coffee and toast in the mornings as there was a toaster in my room.

Just 131 feet from The Strand Beach, Strand Motel offers amazing views of Magnetic Island and the Coral Sea. It features free WiFi and an outdoor pool.

I don't normally take the time to write reviews because I travel so much and stay at so many hotels. But honestly this place was amazing. The location couldn't have been more perfect, the manager was super friendly and helpful, and the grocery store was just two blocks away. Best of all, The Strand - the best place to walk in town - was right across the street!
