Perfectly outfitted small cottage in peaceful garden about half a mile from downtown Deloraine, a small town with all amenities and nearby hikes. We had a warm welcome from the host, who is rightfully proud of this beautifully renovated old home. We would love to be able to go back and spend at least a week there. There were lovely old roses in the garden (and a plethora of little rabbits!).

    Beautifully maintained, historic property, everything was arranged and presented thoughtfully. There was fresh bread, milk, butter, yoghurt etc left for us, choccies and port in the living room, gorgeous antique furniture, everything was spotlessly clean, blockout blinds, comfortable bed, elegant bathroom with tub (much to my excitement), dish and clothes washing consumables provided, all the kitchenware you could need, private backyard, onsite parking… just fabulous.

    Great hotel and centrally located, ample car parking. Great restaurant in hotel, with superb menu - compliments to the chef for restaurant quality food at a reasonable price. Also well equipped breakfast room. Highlight was the free platypus walk with the hotel owner - learnt a lot from this very knowledgeable person!

    The Empire Hotel sits on the Main Street and is a homely quaint old style pub with lots of atmosphere and a modern restaurant with lovely food. The staff were helpful and friendly and the owner very welcoming. Light breakfast was included and the old style lounge areas were delightful. Off street parking included as a bonus.

    Good value for money, in a convenient location, and with car parking. The bedroom was sparkling clean and bed was comfortable. The pub and restaurant below were great. It was also good to have breakfast available, although very basic. There is a common area to sit, stay, play a board game if you like, and make yourself a cup of tea, which gives the opportunity to chat with the other guests. It makes you feel at home.
