BulgariaVery clean and cozy. Old building (it dates back to 13th century) with modern interior. It is in a quite and tranquil area. Parking is nearby. If you travel with car there are plenty of food choices within few kilometers (on the other side of the lake). The house is so close to the lake - you see it from the windows and when you open the front door, the view is beautiful. Unfortunately it was raining heavily when we arrived and when we were leaving so we could not enjoy a walk. The hosts were very polite, they were waiting for us and gave us a tour of the house, explained how to turn on the heating if needed and gave us an extra blanket. We got a bottle of wine as a gift and chocolate for the morning coffee. The only issue is that we stayed just for one night on our way home - I would spent more time there as the house and the area are really beautiful.

We were upgraded to a superior room with a great balcony overlooking the lake. Excellent breakfast in a room again overlooking the lake. Nice touch that booking a participating hotel includes the local transit pass (Ticino) which gives free travel on the local train travel and discounts for things like the funicular to the San Salvatore summit.

Everything was super and high level. The apartment took our breath away, was so comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and dinner (paid restaurant) were absolutely delicious and the ingredients were fresh. Staff were warm and welcoming. Loved everything.
