Very nice experience. The cabins were not difficult to find and remote enough to have privacy and some quiet. There were towels, indoor bathroom/shower, coffee facilities, and basic cooking supplies in the room which was nice. They even had a microwave and fridge. I was given the choice between a volcano or town view, and I chose the volcano. They had a small parking lot and good breakfast at whatever time you ask for - traditional Costa Rican breakfast. You can pay by card at the property. There were a few short 1km trails, a pool, and a playground available, which would be nice when it's warmer. The host was friendly and each cabin had WiFi, although some of it was a little unstable. I still had 4G data connection, which made it a very nice stay! About 40 min drive to Turrialba. I spoke Spanish with the host - unsure of her English ability.

Mark, Anabel, and Auxi were wonderful. I was very grateful Auxi was there to make us meals. We had a simple ham and cheese sandwich & fries for lunch and steak, salad, fries + dessert for dinner. If you do not have a 4x4 car it makes it difficult to go up the hill to get to the bungalow so that is the only thing I would make sure you have before coming. But also because of that - we were extremely grateful to have Auxi make us meals and also that it was not a menu so we didn't have to think or choose what to eat, but just ate what was provided. Both Mark and Ana are very friendly and we loved their energy. The facilities were great. We loved the rain and quiet. The view was spectacular waking up. Nortico is very closeby for a nice small walk. So many friendly dogs around! Bonus - the water was a bit low pressure in the bungalow but loved that it got HOT.

The cabins are in a stunning area of Costa Rica, the drive to the area is full of breathtaking views. Which are plentiful on arrival and Alejandro has designed the space perfectly to fully appreciate the landscape while also maintaining a sense of privacy - from our cabin we couldn't see any of the other cabins. The cabin was designed beautifully, with everything a guest could need and lots of little details, such as the bench for the view outside and the lampshade made from a piece of wood. It was comfortable and we both said we wished we had booked more nights there. The communal space is incredible, with hammocks, a swinging chair and a platform to look out over the views. Around 5pm the golden orioles arrive in large numbers as they come to roost in the area. Alejandro had several recommendations of restaurants in the area and was very helpful.

Casa Lajas is very beautiful and special. It's the perfect place to relax and connect with Mother Nature. The staff is super friendly and always happy to help with any needs or extras.     Fantastic hosts so friendly, the views were incredible and the dinner which was additional was delicious. Breakfast was very good. Such lovely people and company. They made it easy to park below in their car park and they brought our cases and us up by 4x4.
