This place was exceptional ! Actually had two nights here…. The facilities were world standard I understand this is one of six hotels/ spas in the Lakes owned by one family . Well they know how to deliver a customer focused , high quality service and they make you feel that you are important and valued The staff were clearly happy .. that lets us a lot about the culture here. I would recommend this place Food and restaurants were superb The rooms were quiet , full of all facilities , comfortable and luxury Thankyou for such a wonderful stay Zac and Zoe were wonderful staff . All the others worked hard to make our stay special

Set in the mountains of patterdale what an absolute gem of a find, straight away upon riding our motorbike to the b and b we pulled up got a beer from the outside bar set next to a river then was shown to our room( found out we had been upgraded free of charge) we was in the ullswater room absolutely spotless the TV could do with being a bit bigger than a postage stamp but don't let this put you off the owners are literally the best we have ever come across we was shown around the premises and then inside the bar and lounge area where there is a rule of if no staff you serve yourself from a varied selection of alcohol and non alcoholic beverages and snacks upon you have to be honest and write on said piece of paper room and beverages taken.there was also a TV lounge with a selection of games also.breakfast is served between 8 and 9 am where there's a selection of cereal yoghurts and fruit juices then the full English where you choose from any 5 items and we can honestly say the breakfast was a 10 out of 10 staying here is a must for us again judge it for yourself

Excellent breakfast with lots of options. Location was a bit of a climb to reach, however we expected that this may be the case. We loved our garden room as there was plenty of wildlife right outside our window. It was wonderful to watch the red squirrel on the feeders.

    The location was fab and it is a lovely building. We stayed in a room over looking the Lake and gardens. It was great to have free parking which we were able to utilise prior to checking in. This allowed us to go on the lake trip and then check in on our return. The staff were all great especially the waitress (is that pc?) who waited our table (her partner works there also).

    The location was absolutely perfect for hiking Helvellyn. The bathrooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and the duvet was good quality. Free parking at the foot of the mountain.

    The lady was so helpful friendly..There was a selection of meals/breakfast. Vegetarian options too..kids were free dinners with paying adult ..kids breakfast free under 10 . Amazing !. Bathroom was clean and good facilities. Self catering kitchen also on site. The surrounding area was beautiful and picturesque. There was free parking .

    The whole experience was excellent. Room was very nice with fantastic lake and mountain views. Breakfast was superb. buffet or A la Carte cooked. Great portion sizes. Car parking was free. in house restaurant and bar were also very good. Can't fault it.
