A beautiful resort on the Tyne…lovely!

Central,clean and friendly,lovely food ,great breakfast.

Everything - super comfy room, with loads of space and some great additional facilities such as a small fridge provided. Also, considering the standard provided, this was great VFM.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful and perfectly located right next to the river, with beautiful views. On check-in, the receptionist was very courteous and gave us helpful local information. Our room was lovely, spotless, and very comfortable. The bathroom (toilet and shower) was immaculate, and we couldn’t fault the room at all. It was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bar and lounge area was great, with plenty of entertainment and a strong drinks selection. We played pool and darts with other guests while enjoying the music. The food menu is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time, with an excellent mix of local and international dishes. My wife ordered the steak and kidney pudding and I had the chicken tikka curry. Both were delicious. The only negative was the wait time (around 40 minutes), but it was very busy and understandable. In the morning, we joined another table of guests for breakfast and everyone enjoyed it. There was a great selection. My wife had the French omelette and I had the English breakfast. Both were perfect. A big thank you to the hotel manager and all the staff for such a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful inn in a stunning spot, just a few miles off the Hadrian's wall trail. I was tired from a long day of walking; arriving at the coach house stay on the hill was just what I needed. The directions were very clear, the entry was easy, and the room was gorgeous. I can't believe I paid $100 American for a huge suite with private bath, beautifully appointed room, all the comforts, and a luxurious bed I slept in like a queen for almost 11 hours. I wasn't sure I'd like wandering down the hill almost a mile to dinner, but the walk was so serene and lovely, and the Boatside inn was delightful. Great food, and as a solo traveler, was lucky to meet some lovely locals in the bar who chatted me up and made me feel right at home. The walk back up the hill was a nice way to stretch after dinner. I loved this stay, and would recommend it 10/10 to any traveler. The proprietors were highly responsive and gracious, also so appreciated!

A gracious hotel, perfectly located on the same street as Hexham Abbey; we came for Hadrian's Wall access but thoroughly enjoyed exploring the town and its history too. Fine room looking out over the park. A welcoming lobby, excellent breakfast, great staff.

Close to the train station and a short walk to downtown. If you're visiting Houseteds Roman Fort there is a bus stop very close. Staff were very friendly, we were able to store our bags (no charge) while we went exploring Houseteds. Breakfast was very enjoyable and made to order.

The easy check in , spacious bathroom, the bed was surprisingly good and the location was great .

The staff running the Sun Inn were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Traveling with 2 young children and extended family can be a lot to manage and we felt very taken care of by the staff at the Sun Inn. The food was excellent and the atmosphere in the pub downstairs at night was very enjoyable. It was nice each morning to have a friendly face waiting downstairs to help get us fed and on our way.

Really happy with everything; was a cozy and thoughtfully equipped room. Even facecloths were supplied. I appreciate the non-scented bedding and towels. Breakfast options and the mix Of fresh fruit were both great. Charming hostess!

The flat was in a great location on a quiet street near Hexham Abbey. The train station was less than ten minutes walk. The flat was great, The kitchen was well-equipped. The living room had interesting books about the area, comfy seating, games and puzzles. Foosball upstairs in the game room, and three comfortable bedrooms.

Beautiful, comfortable apartment! Tea, milk and biscuits was nice to have. Bed was comfy. Garden view was lovely.

Probably one of the sweetest, coziest flats in which we have ever stayed! I really cannot praise it enough. I absolutely recommend this adorable cottage.

We took our own breakfast food. Kitchen very well stocked. Lovely cooker, very clean. Plenty of crockery, pans etc.

Beautifully decorated- so many toilets and the little touches (like the lights switches) were impeccable! Had everything we needed & perfect for our family of 5.
