Really loved the homey feel of Durlston House, so unlike sterile hotel rooms. A beautifully set up dining room for a full, cooked English breakfast, super kind hosts and comfortable bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms reminded us of the way travel used to be. Highly recommend this jewel near the sea and the New Forest region for a relaxing stay.

The staff were all very friendly, professional, and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and everything was great. The bed and comforter and pillows are super comfortable and it was the best night's sleep we got in over a week. The shower was great, the toiletries and towels were great. It was all wonderful. The location is convenient for walking to the Quay, shops, restaurants, etc. We drove to the Isle of Wight Ferry parking lot to take the ferry over for the day which was easy and convenient. We had stayed here before and will come back again.

Owner was friendly and welcoming. Very accommodating with a request to collect the key early before a wedding. Room was fantastic, lots of lovely little treats. Spotlessly clean, fan was on in the room which was fantastic with the current heat. Great water pressure in the shower. Easy car parking.

When we arrived the cottage was clean, fresh and welcoming. There was milk, bread, biscuits, crumpets and butter with jams. Lovely touch. The location was great. Walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and marina. I thought the parking would be annoying (I normally don’t book somewhere without parking) but it was just across the road in a very safe car park. No problem at all. Plus the parking permit works in lots of places in the New Forest so bonus! We would definitely book to stay again.

Enjoyed our stay but not the trek up three flights of stairs to the room. No problems with the room itself however. Ate with you one night and the food was very good although the service a little slow - you were understaffed apparently. We had breakfast on one morning and i must say was a disappointment and certainly not worth the money. Selection of drinks were fine and the staff very friendly. We were lucky enough to get a car parking space which was a bonus.

Location great. Bar staff good. Waiting staff got orders wrong and called us ‘my darling’ or similar saccharine names - very patronising rather than friendly. Car park signage is AWFUL. However, on Sundays there is free on street parking right outside the hotel.

The location was very central, near the shops and the quay. It was really great to have designated car parking nearby. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and we were allowed into our room early as it was ready. The room was quirky, stylish and spacious and so was the bathroom. It was also comfortable with 2 chairs, one being a very comfortable leather armchair. The white fluffy towels and white cotton bedding was great. The hotel/pub itself was very historic and thus had a quirky layout and a special atmosphere.

The food in the restaurant was great for an evening meal (I didn't have breakfast). The Ultimate Mac and Chees was delicious! The room was clean. Onsite parking is safe, secure and easy to access (once you get the right code). I recommend parking on the street while you check in, then confirm the code and how/where to get into the car park. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Lovely clean, dog friendly place. We were made very welcome, and breakfast was great. They served breakfast very promptly and were very accommodating with different choices. There is plenty of parking nearby if you can't get into the car park at the front. It was really well situated to explore Lymington, and there is no need to use the car to walk to local pubs and restaurants.
