Our host Aki-san came to greet us at the station and picked us up as soon as our train arrived. He went out of his way to drive us to the supermarket so we could pick out essentials and he gave us recommendations for our stay. Moreover, he spent a day of his time driving us to his recommended destinations and providing us an amazing experience that let us really experience the history and nature of the local area. It was one the best experiences I’ve ever had with private accommodations because of Aki’s kindness and care for his guests.

The owner has a gorgeous house that he kept super neat and clean. Very nice owner as well, he helped us drive our faulty bicycle back from middle of town when it broke down and helped get us a refund the next day. super helpful!!

This hotel is on a river, right by the sea. The sea is green and blue and so beautiful. There are volcanic little islands extending from the beach that come and go with the tide (below the water). I spent three days at the beach and saw NOBODY. That is what I wanted. Heaven!

The building was beautiful and we had it to ourselves. The kitchen was available for our use and was well stocked. We enjoyed exploring the adjacent shrine and ancient tree.
