We had a wonderful stay at this property! It was beautifully appointed with everything we could possibly need, and the thoughtful touches—like the delicious food and snacks—were such a treat. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. Everything was spotless, and the home was so comfortable that we felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The place was clean and comfortable, and overall I had a decent stay. There’s no check-in counter, but the self check-in process was smooth thanks to the clear instructions provided. It’s about a 25-minute walk from the bus terminal, and while I believe there’s a shuttle service available, I didn’t use it.

It is a truly amazing and authentic place to stay. The entire space breathes history and immerses you in a historic rural environment. The delicious breakfast and was simple yet sophisticated. Satoshi-san’s, the owner and host told us stories about the place, the food and made this an unforgettable experience.

The level of thoughtfulness was incredible. Every detail of our included delicious and beautiful multi course dinner and breakfast was exceptional. It was all made from local ingredients, like freshly caught rainbow trouble and fiddlehead ferns. Our hosts even had drawings and English translations to explain what they served us. The location was across from the largest gassho home. I wish we had more time and had rented a car to see the other gassho homes in the area.
