Rómulo and Gelga have really created a beautiful and heartwarming space. The house is very modern and has all the facilities you may need (free wifi, hot water, own private bathroom, toiletries, hot water bottles on cold days, free delicious breakfast, etc) but on top of it all it has a special kind of charm. Templo de la Luna is basically in your backyard and the whole area where the house is located has such a magical energy. It’s a little far from the center, which makes it super quiet and peaceful but you can get to San Blas or Plaza de Armas within 20 minutes walk following the beautiful path of the inca trail. If you don’t feel like walking back up (it’s a good hike!) you can easily get an uber for 10-15 soles. From the minute you step foot in the house you feel extremely welcome. You can feel the love and attention they’ve put into every detail and it truly feels like staying with family. Rómulo is incredibly knowledgeable about the quechua and inca culture and took me for an amazing walk to templo de la luna and zona X. He does tours too, I would totally recommend! Gelga is always so kind, she cooked me rice soup and some home remedies when I wasn’t feeling well and helped me with my laundry. They’re always happy to help with anything you may need (advice, booking taxis, tours, etc) and with a big smile on their face. If you get the chance to share a lunch with them, I encourage you to! The food is so delicious and it truly feels like sharing a meal with your family. You will honestly not find a better place to stay in Cusco, especially for that price! If you’re looking for a place where you can feel safe, cozy and at home, I couldn’t recommend it more. Whenever I’m back in Cusco I’ll be staying again, no doubt! A wonderful place to stay in Cusco! We had initially booked for 3 nights and ended up staying 9. Very beautifully furnished rooms, comfy beds, perfectly clean, hot showers, amazing breakfast, friendly staff and a rooftop with a view. The location is a bit out of the center, about a 15min walk to the main square, but didn't bother us at all. Never felt unsafe walking between the center and the hotel. All together great value for money, 10/10!

Definitely one of the best hosts I’ve ever stayed with! She was incredibly warm, kind, and helpful—always going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, spacious, and cozy—it truly felt like coming home. Also, just about 50 meters from the house (left as you walk out), there’s a fantastic restaurant with delicious dishes—highly recommended!

Stunning. Rooms with postcard views of Cuzco and an old church. Greeted on arrival with a cup of coca tea, left out for guests to deal with the altitude. Room and facilities exceptional - rooms are sparkling clean, spacious and have everything you need. A 20 min walk to Centro Historico, shops all around, and in a decent part of Cuzco. For the price, you couldn't get anything better. Cuzco itself is an incredible town. There's nowhere like it in the world. If you're coming to Peru, you really need to visit. It's up there with Venice, Edinburgh or Prague as a unique city with people, architecture and a character of its own. If you visit Cuzco, stay here. I can't see how you could do much better.

I will give 100 points for this stay! it’s the best stay among my hundreds of hotel stays! Staying at this historic building is really enjoyable. The room, services, views are absolutely great! Perfect stay in Cusco, the host Coco and his wife are very hospitable and know everything about Cusco and surrounding tourism. The room was clean and tidy, especially the great hot shower available all day which made me very satisfied. If I return to Cusco, I will definitely back here

    Small modern hotel on a square about 10 minutes walk from the old town. The room was comfortable, and breakfast on the sixth floor (great views) was good. The hotel had secure underground parking for our motorbike with a lift. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Dani on the front desk. Oh, and joy of joys, there was a kettle in the room! All in all a very pleasant experience.

    We stayed here 22 October. The hosts were so helpful. The room clean. Lovely shower and bed. Balcony with amazing views. Kettle in room (rare in Peru) and great breakfast. Also as we had won car the underground parking was great. Highly recommend as only 15 minutes walk from main square .

    We've had a lovely stay. The location is amazing, only a short walk away from Plaza Mayor. As we were travelling with our own car, the Kaaro house was one of the best possible accommodations, as they offer free parking inside their premises. The room was big and clean, with hot water and electric heater. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended, especially for people traveling with their own transportation! 👍👍👍
