In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

The surrounding National Park offers plenty of scenic routes for walking and cycling, and Ambleside is a 10-minute drive away. Windermere Rail Station is a 5-minute drive from the building. There is free parking and secure bike lock up on site. Nice staff, comfortable bed, dog friendly, excellent breakfast. Thanks for the dog towels :)

The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. An excellent location near to the lake and town centre. The hotel has a lovely garden, is scrupulously clean and extremely comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Ambleside Townhouse offers free car parking and a lock-up area for motorcycles and bicycles. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The breakfast choices and the system in place for everyone to have a table when they wanted and pre-ordered breakfast was great. Lovely setting. Extras on the buffet were great.

You can take several nice short walks in the gardens of the property, one leads to the ruins of the Furness Abbey. Make sure that the hotel does not host a wedding during your stay if you want to avoid loud music

Bowness-On-Windermere's quaint shops and restaurants are just a short walk from The Westbourne. Free parking is available. The room is beautiful and the bed is wide and super comfortable. I checked in quite late, and sent the message earlier so the landlord kindly manage to sent the instruction on how to find my room key which I found it very helpful. The room amenities also quite generous with tea and coffee collections and chocolate drinks. Thanks a lot 👍🏽

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.
