Th property has a spacious outside seating area and a playground with plenty of walks straight from our door. It was fabulous, good value for money, room spotless, staff were lovely. Meals are huge and tasty. Great using local produce you can really taste the quality. The beer garden and play area for the kids was outstanding and although we didn't bring our dog it's super dog friendly and was great seeing one at breakfast! We had a room with a balcony and the view of the wheel and the small waterfall was just beautiful. Would 1000% recommend

Located within 14 km of Chatsworth House and 23 km of FlyDSA Arena in Chesterfield, The Peacock at Barlow provides accommodation with seating area. The staff first and foremost were brilliant, starting with Sarah, who welcomed me with a huge smile and means to help in any way she could (like having my room ready a bit earlier than check in time or going through all there is to know about my staying), and then there was the lovely Allison at breakfast, so cheerful and sunny. I felt real love for the job from these two. The rest of the crew I didn't meat unfortunately. The room that I got was H-U-G-E and absolutely perfect in style and comfort. Bed was big and very comfy, the heating was just right, felt like home. Can't praise enough. That's exactly the way I would like all the hotels or RBNBs to be like.

The room was larger than I had expected. (I booked a single room). Although the room faced the street, I had no problems sleeping even with the window open. 2. A good breakfast menu offering a choice of dishes, using high quality ingredients. 3. A beer garden - the possibility to sit outside.

We went to Alton Towers and this is the closest hotel to that other than the resort hotel, that’s why we chose it. Little did we know, we were in for a treat! It’s feels old and the Talbot next door is an amazing topping for the cake.

Spotlessly clean, incredibly designed and so so comfortable. This was a gem of a find in the Peaks District and right down the street from adorable Bakewell. The breakfast was delicious (the black pudding!) and our stay couldn't have been better. Will stay here again the next chance we get.
