the big deck, crashing waves lulling us to sleep, the staff who immediately fixed a lamp, and also made the finest margaritas of our whole 2wk trip! the breakfast was basic but we liked it. would def stay again. 👍👍👍👌🏼

This was the perfect place to end our vacation! It is right on the beach with a lovely cafe, communal hammocks, tables, umbrellas, and plenty of shade. the staff went above and beyond to meet our needs (even with a very early morning check-out)! The rooms were incredibly comfortable and spacious with a balance between inside and outside. There are some comments complaining about water pressure etc. but they have just finished repairs from a hurricane last year. I can’t recommend this place enough!

English speaking host was very helpful! Clean, quiet, and drinking water provided daily. Private Kitchen has all needed amenities. Handy to have the pool. No a/c was manageable with fans provided. Great family living space!!! Good instructions to locate property!! Like the variety of the 3 beaches- surfing, boogie boarding, swimming.

Everything - the location, the staff, the facilities, the vibe, it was all great. Little thoughtful touches made it exceptional, from the shared kitchen with free drinking water, to the placement of light switches, outlets, spigots to wash sand off your feet, etc. The whole place is very thoughtfully designed with a chill, peaceful vibe, and good upkeep.

I spent a week at Hotel Descalzo and I had the best experience. The hotel is beautiful, walking distance to anywhere and right on the beach. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Breakfast at Gula Gula was delicious and their little beach club is great as well, food, cocktails... You don't have to go anywhere else if you don't want to! It was a dream and I will be back same time next year!

I don't usually post ridiculously positive reviews, but OceanoMar deserves every compliment. Everything was fantastic, but the crew deserves personal gratitude. After a bad Ceviche in a village nearby some caution had to be taken for my stomach. Thank you for the flexibility!

    The location is stunning and was perfect for us to unwind. Our cabańa was right on the beach and had everything we needed. The staff were wonderful and friendly and we loved the way they worked so well together with fun and enjoyment. Food was great, freshly cooked using as many local in-season ingredients as possible. Menu changed daily with specials using local seafood. The large shaded area was particularly good for us to stay out of the midday sun while reading, resting in the hammocks and sampling the cocktails.

    A beautiful lodge in a great location right on the beach. The balcony with deck chairs and hammock overlooking the beach was just stunning. Extra sun beds on the beach and the use of the outside kitchen was great. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.

    Super location with view to the sea from our bungalow. Large terrace with hammock and several chairs. Less than 5 min to very beautiful beach. Helpful hints in the information folder. Clean swimming pool. Quiet and peaceful. Mosquito screens at all windows and door.
