Oban
Originally a cattle drover’s inn, this Highland hotel lies just over 30 miles from the pretty town of Inveraray and the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The port of Oban is approximately 30 minutes drive and ideal to enjoy for a day out. This place is a little slice of heaven and I’d honestly stay here again. So quiet and private, and a great little base to do some exploring of the area. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautiful food. The waitresses are so accommodating and sweet. We felt so at home and welcomed - nothing like old fashioned hospitality. The breakfast is amazing - so much to choose from and they cook it for you personally after you order. The room was clean and had a great bed, with a view over the water. I’d love to visit again - everyone was so kind and friendly. A beautiful part of the world and the views of Loch Awe were stunning.

There is a community feel there and we felt at home in the property.

Within a tree-lined Victorian terrace, this 5-star boutique hotel is located in the fashionable West End, only 30 minutes' drive from Loch Lomond. Its oak-panelled bistro serves fresh, Scottish cuisine and over 300 wines. what a magnificent hotel. every room is different. all have so much character. this old building feels a bit like hogwarts. I am sure some of the stairs moved, and some of the pictures talked. we spend hours roaming around the hotel looking for hidden gems like the reading room and even the gym (not really a gem but it was fun looking for it). breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get but the room and the buffet are beautiful. staff is amazing, funny, smart, nice and professional. I would definitely come back. hopefully soon.

Our stay at Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa was fantastic! The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The hotel is extremely dog-friendly; our dog loved the warm welcome and the breakfast treat. The spa was amazing, especially the outdoor hot tub with a view of the loch. The interiors are beautiful, adding to the cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was decent, with plenty of choices. Highly recommend for a relaxing, pet-friendly getaway!
A warm welcome, comfy, clean rooms, a lovely breakfast with a good selection. So pet friendly that a bed was provided for my dog! A quiet location yet still in the heart of the centre with easy access to all amenities. The rooms are well equipped.
We've been staying in different log cabins at Lamond Lodges at Puck's Glen over the years. Now, with a dog, we had to find one that allows pets so we were happy to see that Fox Lodge is dog friendly. The lodge is very complete and has (almost*) everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Clean room , in very convenient location to the park property also pet friendly so great for walking the dog. Great friendly service breakfast included even a wee sausage for the dog.
Tig cottage is in a beautiful, tranquil, and ideal location for a peaceful stay. The cottage is decorated beautifully with comfy sofas, bedding, and a large bath. It has everything you would want for a cottage stay. I loved the garden, games and all the information about the area. It is dog friendly, which is what we were after, and came with a dog bed and an emergency dog mess box. The art work and sculptures were lovely and we ended up buying a small sculpture. It is a place where we would happily stay again.
Perfect location, rooms are fantastic and pet friendly so great for taking my dog. Staff so friendly and accommodating.
I considered it to be very good value for money. I was expecting it to be cheap and basic. Breakfast was included and there was a good spread and the food was delicious. Location spot on, stunning view worth paying the small extra for loch-side. The staff were excellent. The hotel is dog friendly and they have set it up so that dogs can only go into the bar area, keeping the restaurant a dog free zone. I thought this worked perfectly. Accommodated my two dogs whilst also accommodating non-pet owners.
The hotel was lovely, the room was lovely. The location was perfect, especially if you have a dog, ane the hotel is pet friendly so ideal if can't be parted from your furry friend. The food was amazing, absolutely delicious and it does take out if just fancy a quiet night in your room. It's a very friendly relaxing hotel and the staff can't do enough for you . And the price for food and beverages won't spoil your stay. Very reasonable.
