The location was perfect - close to town yet quiet. Also, a great breakfast place across the street that had terrific coffee. The staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming - even on Christmas Day - they had a gift for us.

Los Ponchos Hotel is located just 1.2 mi from central El Calafate. Its warm rooms feature Hispanic-American art and views of Lake Argentino. Oh my goodness, what did we like?? Absolutely everything! The staff took such good care of us they ended up feeling like family, especially Anna. My husband wasn’t feeling well and they brought us bananas and asked after him every day. Booking dinners and asking travel advice was always with a smile. We’re definitely recommending this to everyone we meet! Thank you so very much.
