We enjoyed walking around the city entre and appreciated the historic architecture, especially St David's Cathedral. We also enjoyed visiting Salamanca Place even though the markets weren't on at the time. A great place to start when you fly into Hobart. Just over 20 minutes away from the airport. This small town is packed with historic sites, shops, and eateries, and surrounded by an excellent wine region. Riversdale Estate would be top of our list! Close to Hobart city and surrounding tourist attractions. Sorell is a good town to stay in with groceries, chemist, park, cafés, fast food take away and plenty of free parking. Kingston Hotel had extremely large rooms and was on the opposite block to Coles supermarket and other shops. The rooms were separate from the hotel which enabled a very quiet sleep.
