- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,157 reviewsWhile not as bougie as the Hayman Island Resort, there is a lot to do at this resort. There are 2 restaurants on the island and the food options include an asian restaurant and a burger and pizza type of place. But vegetarian options available too and a small gift shop in the main lobby. But the key thing is the amazing activities to do on the resort (swimming with stingrays, live reef, sunset beach area behind with a rainforest pathway too to hike, sailing lessons that can be done from the island and scubadiving from island. The island has two sides, one for day trip and one for people staying. Big pools to swim in plus beach side. Great views. Easy to access port to go to reef or white haven tours as well as snorkeling tours or back to mainland to airlie beach or hamilton island. Walaroos are cute as anything on the island and you can feed them apples and bread and rice etc. like they are your pet dog. The cockatoos too. There was also paint and sip and other activities as well. Very family friendly. There is an underwater observatory room(an aquarium of sorts) and morning yoga in that room. there is also a kids section and other such aquariums throughout. It is beautiful paradiseGuest review byEktaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 196 reviewsWhat a treat! If you are looking for a luxurious and comfortable retreat from the world, this is the place! Gorgeous location with beautiful surroundings. We loved the spa bath which we enjoyed whilst sipping our complimentary champagne, then slipping into the cozy bathrobes to snuggle on the sofa warmed by the log burner. Absolute heaven. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided, in fact we really didn't want to leave. We tried to book a second night, but unsurprisingly Treetops was booked out. But maybe best of all.... no internet!!! A true country escape, and we have recommended it to many friends already ❤️Guest review byJoyUnited States

Could easily accommodate a family plus grandparents or a family plus another couple or small family.Guest review byAshleyNew Zealand

Cairns is busy and has a lot going on.
Cairns is busy and has a lot going on. It possibly suits younger people more. If you’re after reef trips or island trips it’s perfect. If you want a less action packed pace you should probably head to Port Douglas.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Walking distance to everything, easy to get around, plenty of choices for places to eat as well as a great Cole's supermarket. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you want to be. A road trip to Daintree, Cape Tribulation and the Wildlife Discovery Centre is easily done in a day. A boat trip up the Dickson Inlet is a fun and informative thing to do. Snorkelling out on the reef is a must if you have never done it.Guest review byTrishNew Zealand - 10.0

Staff at reception fantastic, room older but clean and nice, only complaint was ppl in room next door either 220 or 222 had tv blaring all night, went in and out of room slamming door over 20 times, went to there car atleast 15 times slamming car doors and boot until I had enough at 4.30am when after no sleep at all I left because it was a disgrace the noise and nothing being done, no phone in room to ask reception to ask them to atleast back it off a bit, but was a complete waste of money as I was so tired and left more tired and $$$ out of pocket and no sleep.Guest review byDuaneAustralia - 10.0

Historic waterfront precint better than Adelaide or Hobart....a must visit 2. Cafe, Bakeries, etc were very good........especially Coffee Club on Quay Street, the Artizen Gluten Free Bakery, Malaysia House, and at the Rocky Brewery. 3. Explore town riding the local Bus services 4. The 1909 Steam Tram ride at the Archer ParkRail Museum....only steam Tram still running in the world 5. Worlds only proposed Olympic Rowing Course with crocerdiles in the whole wide world.......an incentive for crews to row faster then they ever have before.Guest review bypeterAustralia - 10.0
