- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 251 reviewsAmazing! Super cute room for family of 5 with 3 single beds upstairs and double downstairs. Beautiful view of the ocean. I don’t know if we were lucky or perhaps it was just the season but we swam with turtles right from the private dock of the hotel every day, multiple times. At least 3 turtles were present all the time and could be seen just relaxing on the dock. Snorkeling was fab tons of fish of a large variety. The bed was large and very comfortable. The caipirinhas were on point, and I should know I’ve drank many! Hosts very smiley and helpful despite my terrible Portuguese. Super happy I booked here, stayed with my older parents and 3 teenage kids and we all loved it very much. Short walk to 2 beaches and the start of the hiking trail. Close to a large variety of restaurants. Can’t rate this highly enough and wished I’d stayed here last time I visited Ilha GrandeGuest review byRachaelChina
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 342 reviewsGREAT location. Right across from the drop off from the boats. We had a beautiful room with beach view. The breakfast every morning is so good. You n a beautiful little spot. The man at the front desk. Andreas if I remember correctly. Was truly amazing. From the moment we walked in. He told us everything we needed to know as we only had 2 nights. And wanted to see as much as possible. He took us to get a water taxi cause he wanted to make sure they were still going out. Arranged our tours. And we woke up a little late for time for our tour so he went running to rent us snorkel gear so we could eat breakfast. When the one spot wasn’t offering the same price we watched him run down the street to the other spot to get the good price for us. Truly the best part about that place is him. Facilities clean as well. Very clean. Very beautiful. 10/10. Would recommendGuest review bymarissaCanada
- From $76.27 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 350 reviewsThe accommodation is amazing and sparkling, and the breakfast was incredible, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. They even make some of the cakes and cheeses themselves using fresh ingredients — a small detail that made a big difference and shows how much they care about their guests. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. João, in particular, was incredibly helpful, giving us great tips on what to do and explore around this little paradise. Highly recommended — we had a wonderful experience!Guest review byDanieleNew Zealand

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 123 reviewsAmazing location, decent breakfast and a good shower. The room was hard to cool down using a loud fan/AC system, but not so awful that you couldn't sleep. I think it was an ok price but we booked late at a busy time so we paid extra!Guest review byAnnabelUnited Kingdom

It is not easy to travel to the Ilha Grande (Abraão) from Rio de Janeiro city. But, by arranging an appropriate transportation (coach/van and ferry/boat), the trip can be very smooth. There are no cars in Ilha Grande, thus people with some disabilities (or any mobility problems) may struggle. From a short (1.5 km), Praia Preta is a nice visit where ocean and a river meet -- very enjoyable for the little ones. Also, a tour around the island, although a bit expensive may be worth.Guest review byJeffersonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Really special place - gorgeous, clear seas and beautiful sandy beaches, amazing hiking around the island, the locals are all so friendly and there are plenty of options for dinner and lunch. Bring your snorkel, the sea life is amazing. Feels like paradiseGuest review byMiles - 10.0
Saco do Ceu is a very well protected bay.
Saco do Ceu is a very well protected bay. I traveled there in my sailboat and did not worry about the boat being safe at night. Nice muddy bottom for anchoring and protected from the wind. The trail around the bay is a nice walk although a flashlight is needed at night is some areas. The restaurants have excellent food and great menu choices. The East side of the bay has a nice little beach. The West end is a tidal flat but has a long dock for securing your dingy.Guest review byTonyBrazil - 8.0

Getting around Abraão is easy on foot, but to explore other beaches you’ll need to hire local boats for day excursions, as cars are not allowed on the island. Dining was a highlight—everything we tried was fresh, tasty, and affordable. Lua e Mar and Petra, both with beach seating, made perfect bookends for our first and last days. A note on getting there: Abraão and Ilha Grande are truly gorgeous, but the trip can be long—especially when traveling with a young child. Coming from Foz do Iguaçu, we flew into Rio (GIG), then took a private car to Angra dos Reis followed by the Flexiboat. This was the fastest option from the airport, yet it still took about four hours door-to-door. On departure day, the return trip plus a long wait for a late-night flight made the journey feel endless. It’s worth factoring this in when planning, as the travel time can be tiring.Guest review byMBVUnited States - 10.0

This stretch of beach was very peaceful, and only a minute or so from Poussada Tropical. At times, it felt the beach only had us on it. Poussada Tropical is the place to recharge your batteries. The meals were cooked from scratch, with fresh ingredients and with very generous portions. Andrade lives and breathes his poussada and his guests benefit from this. Bravo and much luck to Andrade and his team.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Abraão is a great place, no cars, no pollution, it's the perfect place to spend some time away from civilization. As being a very popular place expect to be packed with tourists every day, all day long. I booked a few days in October and I was right in one way - the temperature was lower than the average... But it WAS PACKED with tourists coming and going from the mainland every day. Hundreds and hundreds suffocating the island and I was one of them. I don't know how long it will take the locals to react in the same way as in Europe....Guest review bypeterrom67Romania
