Morro de São Paulo is a paradise.
Morro de São Paulo is a paradise. I highly recommend people visit Salvador just to get the catamaran to Morro de São Paulo. The island is amazing and I recommend the scooner/escuna from Passeios Morro, to visit some amazing highlights.Guest review byGeorgeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Itacaré has a relaxed and bohemian vibe with charming streets lined by vibrant colour houses. Is relatively untouched by massive tourism and evolved by ecological reserves, rainforests, and beautiful landscapes. Is the perfect spot for those who love sports like surfing, climbing, kayaking, paddle boarding and trekking.Guest review bySarah A.Spain - 6.0

Ilhéus has a rich historical background, but the town feels neglected, with many historical buildings falling into disrepair. It’s not particularly touristic—more functional than charming. That said, there are some good bars and restaurants, and the centrally located airport is convenient. The beaches, while decent, don’t compare to the stunning ones in the surrounding region. It’s worth a short stop for its historical significance, but the lack of restoration is disappointing.Guest review bychachatwistUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Boipeba is just a paradise.
Boipeba is just a paradise. I was very impressed by the organization of the excursions, they have a strict control over how many people are going to the touristic places and I really appreciate that. There are several options for restaurants and they are very careful with food allergies and preferences, such as vegan and vegetarian. The center of Boipeba's village is calm, clean and really cute. Waters are crystal clear and warm. I'd recommend a boat trip around the island, but also to have one day to walk from one beach to the other, especially the path to get to Moreré, which is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen in my life. It's good either for a romantic scape or to go with the family. I'm not sure if it's a good destination for seniors, as most of the beaches are far away and some hiking skills are needed. We got there from Salvador by personal transfer (ferry to Vera Cruz, then a 2 hour car ride, then another ferry from Valença to Boipeba), it took us around 5 hours to do so.Guest review byRachelSpain - 4.0
Forget to get there by car.
Forget to get there by car. We rented a car in Ilheus and from Itacare to Barra Grande we have done 2 and a half hour for 60kms! It is simply insane. We were very worried about car condition and also about our own safety (a car started to follow us). After the trip we have been advised to better go to Camumu and then take a boat to get there or directly via boat from Itacare, Ilheus or wherever. No asphalt, so please be aware of this and possibly rent an expensive quad (200 reais per day). Locals do not want to make asphalt streets because they say that will attract more people but Barra Grande literally lives from tourism. Who really gets them? Craters each inch and full of water. You can really lose your car there! Wanted to see the natural water pools of Taipu de Fora but could not reach them due to water craters on the "road". Decided to save the car and finally left the peninsula.Guest review byadrian.badiuRomania - 10.0

Morro de São Paulo is a beautiful destination with a relaxed island vibe and stunning beaches. The location is perfect for a peaceful getaway, yet there's plenty to explore, from natural pools to lively beachside restaurants. The village is charming, with no cars and everything within walking distance. The boat trip to get there adds to the adventure. Breakfast at most pousadas is fresh and tropical. The beach bars offer great caipirinhas and sunset views. It’s not luxury, but it’s authentic and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Bahia.Guest review byDeboraIreland - 10.0

Ilheus was always a sleepy town where one stopped on the way to somewhere else. Recently, however, it has invested a lot in improving its tourism infrastructure. Besides the beaches, the food and the music are also great.Guest review byWilliamUnited States - 10.0

We loved the natural beauty and stunning beaches alongside small town rustic charm - having no cars is a massive bonus! And seeing the locals' horses taking themselves out for a walk in the evening is so charming. But although the place is quiet and the beaches untouched there is also a fantastic range of restaurants and bars to choose from! Boipeba is also completely safe and the local people are really friendly and helpful. This is the perfect beach holiday location!Guest review byMarthaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Morro is an amazing place in Brasil.
Morro is an amazing place in Brasil. I really enjoyed staying there. It has a busy beach with a lot of services (Segunda praia) and also chill beaches like Quarta and Quinta praias if you prefer less crowded and relaxing places. The city center is very nice, the food is great. Beware that there might be too many young kids around Feb/March.Guest review byMariano ArNetherlands - 10.0

The hotel staff impressed us, they were so kind and friendly. The room was fairly large with a nice kitchen, comfortable bed and good shower, top quality towels, and a well fitted good sized wardrobe. Facilities were refurbished and well cleaned. The atmosphere was relaxed and quiet. Breakfast was really good and the restaurant had good quality fairly priced food for lunch and dinner. The hotel was just a few steps from the main attractions. The Vesuvius restaurant was opposite to the hotel and the bataclan was a few meters nearby. There are excellent açai and chocolate shops on the ground floor of the hotel.Guest review byThereza WebsterUnited Kingdom
