- From $161.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 69 reviewsThe hotel location was perfect for us as we were exploring the area. The Centro Comercial Montegeneral is within walking distance from the hotel. The drive to the the Perez Zeledon central area was about 15-20 minutes to Dominical around one hour. The hotel itself has an onsite restaurant, pool, spa and gym. The hotel staff very helpful and courteous especially Carlos and Stephanie too we are studying Spanish so we really appreciated they were able to speak and understand English as well as Spanish. The restaurant server and overall great guy Bernie made our dining experience extra special. Our room was spacious, clean comfortable beds and lots of storage space. Good internet service.Guest review byNancyCosta Rica
- From $111.85 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 364 reviewsThe meals were outstanding, particularly since we are vegetarians and used to getting whatever is available. We were blown away by the elegance, taste, and presentation of the food. Lots of small touches that made everything about our trip special. Also, the hikes on property were absolutely amazing! I've done a lot of hiking in Costa Rica and I've never seen any places that seemed as magical as this one, even with other properties we've visited in the Dota area.Guest review byJuliaUnited States
- From $112.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 895 reviewsThe staff was incredible! Nancy was exceptional and went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable for the night. We were only there for one night but will definitely stay again when we are in the area. It was in a good location and the parking lot was secure so we felt very safe. We ordered room service and the gentleman who delivered it was very kind and showed us how to use the television. The food was delicious.Guest review byFerrisCosta Rica
- From $107.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very Good - What previous guests thought, 180 reviewsWe had a really nice time at Mirador de Quetzales. The cabins are so cute & cozy and there is so much birdlife all around the property (we would see hummingbirds from our bed). It's a beautiful place to relax for a while and just enjoy the views, birds and bees all around. They easily organised tours and the food was great (we are vegan and they made some meals off menu for us and all were fantastic).Guest review byJessNew Zealand
- From $172.89 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 674 reviewsHotel Suria is in a great location, near the river. It has a beautiful dining room and gardens, nice rooms, and friendly, gracious staff. We traveled from SJO in a private van to the valley with Adobe Tours, March 2023, for $182 US. I recommend you do the country a favor and not drive the mountains yourself, as roads are rough and CR has a wonderful system of shuttles and drivers.Guest review bySea2SeaUnited States

We spent the first and last night of our trip to Costa Rica in San José, but in retrospect, that was one night too many. Due to the traffic chaos, it simply takes too long to get to the hotels in San José, so you lose the desire to really explore the city.Guest review byRobertGermany - 10.0

Escazu is a lovely suburb of San Jose and I go there to see my dentist (Go NOVA Dental CR!) -- it's a huge center for dental tourism. Otherwise there are many more compelling places to visit in CR.Guest review byRobin DrulardUnited States - 10.0

Vista Canyon Inns was highly recommended by my Doctor and they did not disappoint me. Mr. Dr. and the hospital were minutes away and the hotel arranged all my transportation. Great restaurants of all varieties and prices were within a short ride or UBER Eats. Loved this part of the Central Valley. The mall is huge but, very expensive. Much better than staying in SAN JOSE.Guest review byMarsha WaddelowUnited States - 10.0
Rivas is a great location to base yourself.
Rivas is a great location to base yourself. It's easily reachable from San Jose via good quality roads. Rivas has a great selection of national parks to visit, plenty of local restaurants and other attractions to visit and keep you busy. Additionally, it is close enough to the East coast to be a great base for day trips. We travelled to both Dominical and Uvita in under two hours. This puts a large number of other national parks within easy reach.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

It feels safe, even at night to walk around. lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Traffic is very heavy though and you have to pay attention crossing the street. Feels like an upper class neighborhood that is fairly well kept up. Also on the bus line and have never had a problem getting an Uber there.Guest review byfrenchUnited States - 6.0

San Jose is a patchwork of beautiful sites amidst a chaotic mess of traffic-riddled highways. We didn't really stay long enough to give it an accurate review, but our short stay was not encouraging. We spent most of our time in Costa Rica on the Pacific Coast, which was quite pleasant.Guest review byJoshuaUnited States - 10.0

I really enjoyed the bird feeders off the deck. I felt that for the price of the room, breakfast should have been included in the price, which is very typical in Costa Rica. The diner and breakfast were very good.Guest review byAnnCosta Rica - 8.0

It is really nice, we went to Savegre for dinner since we had a reservation made on one restaurant there, but I am sure that if you plan the trip to fully stay on Copey you would find a lot to see, walk and do there. If you decide to go and visit Savegre take into consideration that it is a 40min driveGuest review byKimettCosta Rica
