Munich was very nice place to visit for few days.
Munich was very nice place to visit for few days. Transportation was very easy to navigate through the city and walking was easy to, but challenging there's bike lanes you really need to watch out for and a lot of construction in the area making it difficult and have to remain diligent. Other than that once you get to the main square all that goes away and your at ease. During the day felt safer, at night there are more bums than I thought in a rich area like Munich and bring a big wallet, things were quite expensive around town. Beer is cheaper than a bottle of water. The tours were great to really see the town and castles. Food was good. Italian food was over priced. The Vietnamese restaurant on same block was outstanding went there 2x. Haxen grill was good to or outdoor market was good enough.Guest review byCard - 10.0
Nuremburg is always a treat.
Nuremburg is always a treat. We've been there several times and never get tired of the incredible beauty this medieval city offers, including it's castle and wonderful local cuisine. It is a must see if you come to Germany. It's also a great location to day trip from. So many other great places to see within 90 minutes of here. If you have never been here catch the Bimmelbaum (little tourist train) first to get your bearings and maybe decide what things interest you most. Enjoy!Guest review byK.D.7Portugal - 8.0

Lovely city to have a stop during my drive to a business meeting. City has nice architecture and the Donau river gives the extra touch. Enough possibilities to have a nice lunch and diner. Can recommend Burgerheart when you want some nice American experience. Loved the peer-melon limonade. Went now two year in a row to Regensburg and can't wait for the next one.Guest review byBoecky89Belgium - 10.0

A very interesting historical city, much of which has been lovingly restored after devastating air raid damage in WW2. The Residence I(and its gardens) are well worth visiting, being a smaller scale version of the palaces at Versailles and Charlottenburg. Don't miss the Hofkirche while there. The Marienberg Fortress on the hill overlooking the town offers fantastic views, but is currently being extensively refurbished. It is still worth visiting though. And if you like visiting churches, you will not be disappointed here. Fantastic cuisine and wine available here. we can heartily recommend Aifach Resins and zum Stachel, the former for more contemporary cuisine and the latter for more traditional fare in traditional and historic surroundings.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Augsburg is a very charming city with lots of points of interest and restaurants and caffee's. Don't miss the Rathausplatz, Fuggerei, Maximilianstrasse, Koenigplatz and old city walls. For good Bavarian/Schwaebische Food I recommend Restaurant unter dem Bogen on Annastrasse. People watching and relaxing Caffee Eber am Rathausplatx. Take one of the city tours, organized by the city and raasonably priced. Augsburgs Strassenbahn System makes it easy to get around, buy a "Streifenkarte". Walk around in the Altstadt and around the "Kahnfahrt" and the old city walls- it is just beautiful.Guest review byUrsulaGermany - 10.0

Stay near center. Ride E-bike around lake (ca 35 km). Swim in lake! Visit castle but only hike up there if your joints/heart can handle it. It’s very steep and ca 40 min walk up hill. Beautiful town :)Guest review byEmilyNetherlands - 10.0

The highlight was of course the Zugspite and the journey there by train, rack-rail, and cable car. Amazing views from the Zugspitze plateau topped only by the panorama from the peak itself. Given more time we'd have explored the many hiking trails, including the Partnach Gorge, but did manage the short walk to the beautiful pilgrimage church of Wallfahrtskirche St. Anton, not far from our hotel in downtown Partenkirchen.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Not as great as advertised.
Not as great as advertised. The old city center is quite nice. The views of the rivers are nice too. Worth a day trip if you're in the neighborhood. Parking situation sucks. There are parking garages that actually close from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. We got up at 4 a.m. to get on the road early to beat the traffic when we noticed the garage being closed. It's the first time it ever happened to us. No way to get in and anywhere near your car. It was 10.30€ for a day. It was the Parkhaus Wöhrl. By the way you can't pay by debit card and you should have the right amount of money with you. If you put in 50€ you don't get any change back! WTF?! If you want to be able to access your car 24/7 you have to find a garage that doesn't close for the night. There is one for currently 35€ a day. There are parking lots as well but I can't say how safe it is to park your car overnight...Guest review byAnonymousGermany - 10.0

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a such nice small town, but with everything. Highly recommend joining the tour with Night Watchman. There's a lot to learn about the history, the buildings, cultures, and so on.Guest review byMingUnited States
