The service, the facilities and the staff were A1. I want to mention that on my last day of travel, I had an accident, and luckily it happened close to the hotel. The staff immediately provided me with all the necessary support. They called an ambulance, escorted me to the clinic because they knew I was traveling alone, and stayed with me until I received the necessary medical attention. I will always be grateful for all their support during this difficult time.

The hotel is well located close to the mall with a lot restaurants around the area. Very Clean and beautiful atmosphere. It is a name of the well-established Marriott chain new. I like the ladies who take care of you at the front desk, there are very polite and customer oriented. I would recommend this hotel for business purposes. The breakfast was delicious with a lot verities of food and they change it everyday. The lobby is well decorate and the restaurant serving delicious foods.

    Let's start simple: the location is at the heart of the city and you can go easy anywhere you would like to go. There's a beautiful park across the entrance with a café and outdoor gym, there are always people there exercising and with the family. The neighborhood is super clean and safe. The staff is amazing! All of them were very caring and helpful, every single one of them were going above and beyond, that kindness was unexpected but very welcomed. The front desk staff was very competent and professional, and the kitchen and cleaning staff were the sweetest people. I would come back just for the staff.

    This the best value in Santo Domingo. They have rooms for under $30 depending on the time and its good value. Now they also have rooms that are completely renovated rooms that looks like a good four star resort. . However you wouldnt want to stay in the room when you are three to four buildings down from the front road which have a carnival, casinos, restaurants and ocean front seating. This is tge best value.

    We love it all here. The staff is excellent. My husband wasn't feeling good. Had some stomach issue and one of the waitress made him a special drink.     The colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is stunning, with a lot of Museums, A beautiful Cathedral, a very active nightlife, cafes, restaurants a so much. Perfect for walking and relaxing, very Bohemian vibe. Recomendations: Mosquito bar, La casa del ron with a stunning view of the Cathedral and Sabina with a very bohemian style. If you want a more modern vibe then stay in the Piantini district, With a lot of modern bars, restaurants like Sarah and a lot roof top around the city. and a very cosmopolitan vibe, however, be aware that the traffic is chaotic and stressful during peak hours. If you visit Santo Domingo please go to the beach, Close by Bocha Chica, A little bit far away but worth it is La Romana and Punta Cana.

    Sad, overpriced and not very nice.

    Sad, overpriced and not very nice. A lot of rubbish everywhere. No local culture. Beaches were poor. Theres a view of a large powerstation from the beach. No good food available apart from ridiculously overpriced top-end restaurants. Very shabby and disappointing overall. A poor end to a disappointing trip to the Dominican Republic which these days feels like a rerirement haven for expats. We left feeling deflated.

    I only used this as a 2 nights stop whilst waiting for a...

    I only used this as a 2 nights stop whilst waiting for a rearranged flight home. Booked it very late and got great reception and response from host to get me the keys and and settle in. Close to the airport (5 minute taxi ride) There's a supermarket within 10 minutes walk with ATM's and obviously anything you need for shopping. I didn't look around the area any further. The flat was fairly clean with basic amenities and if i needed to wait over again for a flight the i would definetly consider using this host again.

    Historic buildings, a multitude of restaurants and terraces, museums, what more do you want? Also nice Malecon for an evening walk. If you don't drive it's easy (and cheap) to get around with Uber.

    Nice city with so many changes in the years I've been. A bit annoying to deal with the vendors who seem to come every 5 minutes. Also watch out for the locals who try and get you to sit down and eat . They will mark up the prices of the food to make money off of you . I recommend you take a picture of the menu and sit yourself down and wait for someone of the establishment to atend you . The locals will try and hustle you out your money

    The city has three nice places: Zona Colonial, Botanical Garden and Les Tres Ojos. Two days will do to see all of them, maximum. The rest is just dirty, chaotic, noisy and full of cars who drive madly.

    Boca chica is a nice place to stay however you have to be careful with the host of these properties they're not all trustworthy. After being confirmed by booking.com to stay at a property then get there at 9:00 in the night and being told it's not available and it has been canceled only to check booking again and find out that it's still saying confirmed that is not the way to start your vacation.
