The hotel is very clean and they always clean the bedrooms. Easy checkin and doors are automated. Bed was comfortable and rooms have double glazed windows that helps to reduce outside noise. The best for me was the location, close to main area of las canteras and it was great that I could have a small coffee in the co-working area. The staff is friendly and answers quickly. Excellent place to stay.

From the warm welcome from the friendly to the calm, comfortable room, this was the best hotel! Gran Canaria Highlights

Maspalomas Dunes

The island's proximity to the African continent is most visible in this spectacular dune complex in southern Gran Canaria.

Las Canteras beach and boardwalk

This long sandy beach, popular among locals and tourists alike, offers plenty of dining and entertainment options along the boardwalk.

Hiking in the Tejeda Region

The routes through this area allow you to explore deep canyons, volcanic craters, and rocky mountains, offering splendid views along the way.

Golfing

The majority of Gran Canaria’s world-renowned golf courses are spread out along the southern coast of the island.

FAQs about hotels in Gran Canaria

Year-Round Sun, Sea and Surf

The wonderful, year-round climate, great beaches and lively nightlife make Gran Canaria a popular choice for beach holidays in the Canaries. All of these elements are found in Playa del Inglès, the island’s liveliest resort. The water along the sandy beach offer great surfing conditions, as do those at neighbouring Maspalomas.

Large areas of Gran Canaria are of ecological importance and the incredible Maspalomas sand dunes are no exception. Other nature reserves are the forests of the mountainous centre of the island near San Bartolomé. Nearby Agüimes - a peaceful town known for its cave houses – is a short transfer from Gran Canaria Airport.

Visitors also arrive at the island by ferry to Las Palmas, the capital city which sweeps around a narrow piece of land ending in a mountain. Booking.com has a good range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Gran Canaria, but the greatest concentration are in Puerto Rico, a family-friendly resort with 2 beautiful, horseshoe-shaped bays and the Atlantida waterpark.

Also offering a selection of Gran Canaria hotels for families is Puerto de Mogan, known as ‘Little Venice’ because of its canals. Nestled in the volcanic landscape just along the coast is small Playa Taurito, one of many resorts with hotels with waterslides.

Beautiful location, gorgeous little apartments with individual gardens and terrace areas. Really private, clean, quiet and enough recreational areas/sun beds.. two really spacious pools. Convenient shops, shuttle bus and taxi rank nearby. Beach is approx 15 minute walk. I like this area as its not built up and you also have a pretty view of the mountains. Kitchen had pretty muchvall the utensils you could need, hob, microwave, fridge and even a filter coffee machine. And if anyone’s interested- there are gorgeous friendly cats living close to the property!!

My stay at Lopesan Costa Meloneras in March with friends was simply unforgettable. The entire property is a tribute to elegant luxury — from the luscious, meticulously maintained gardens to the beautifully designed spaces that inspire you at every turn. The dining experiences were equally impressive, with delicious and beautifully presented food. Every corner of the hotel radiates charm and sophistication, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy.

This wasn’t my first visit to Gran Canaria or Playa del Inglés. The beach is very long, and at one end, you’ll find a shopping centre with a variety of shops, along with plenty of bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal or a drink while taking in the beautiful views of the dunes and the sea. It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

What amazed me about Gran Canaria is how many microclimates exist on a relatively small island. The South is drier and hotter than the North, the beaches are nice, you can snorkel off the beach, the mountain, the caldera, the dunes,...there is a lot to do and see on Gran Canaria.

We stayed in a quiet location ( just behind the golf course ), which is what we wanted. However its just 5 euros for a taxi to the Yumbo Centre (definately worth a visit or 2), the Lighthouse or Playa Des Ingles for a more hectic nightlife. Would definately come back to this resort.

This is a really difficult review!

This is a really difficult review! We started visiting Mogan in 2004 and totally fell in love with the place. A little slice of heaven. Since then we have visited 15 times. This trip however we saw Mogan through slightly less 'rose tinted, lenses. There is an ugliness that has crept in. In atmosphere, in friendliness, in purveyors of utter trash, smut, and boring repetitive so called "souvenirs' Every front of house restaurant worker almost grabbing you by the throat for you to enter their premises. A billion rentable sunbeds filling a large portion of the beach front so tightly packed you couldn't see daylight between them. I am all for the local people making a living from their beautiful homeland and I am supremely grateful to them for sharing it with us, but I swear that most people in these super scum baggy retail outlets that fill the streets don't give a toss about the town. Those who make the decisions for the welfare of the town, You have sold the heart and soul of the place to a bunch of unsavoury characters for a 'few dollars more'. Please do NOT become Benidorm, Blackpool, Ibiza, Las Vegas, and all the other soulless places on this planet. Leave it to them to be super-tacky. I know Puerto De Mogan's modern history is quite a short one but what it was 20 years ago is most definitely NOT what it is today. I have spent many thousands of Euro's and would have gladly spent even more and would continue to do so but sadly..... Puerto De Mogan! I am no longer in love with you, You have broken my heart! So now, It's over
