Absolutely stunning hotel with friendly staff, great interior and excellent breakfast. The service and staff at the hotel makes you feel like you're in a 5* hotel. The aqua park was a bit crowded but I still think it is the best aqua park in France (at least it is brand new and everything works well).

Completely new and renovated hotel. Very good location at the bottom of the hill, 15 min drive from the pistes. Great staff, a young and energetic team working hard to make your stay delightful, always ready to go the extra mile for you. Delicious breakfast with plenty of tasty, local, healthy choices. Lots of space to hang out, play, drink, watch a sports game, play pool or just make new friends. The restaurant is very nice with the best raclette I have ever had! I strongly recommend for a nice skiing weekend or even more. I'll be sure to come again.

This hotel is a destination all by itself. It is an invitation into a luxury spa home with the absolute best chef and delicious and deep wine cellar. We came for three days and stayed an extra night. It was not enough. I want to go back. It is the most comfortable and comforting hotel I have ever experienced. The host gave us excellent recommendations for hiking and mountain biking, restaurants and shopping. The town of Megeve is sweet and fun to explore, hiking, biking, skiing...all of it. But the hotel is sublime.

This place has views unlike any other hotel! It was one of the most lovely and whimsical places I’ve ever stayed. Behind the hotel is a beautiful mountain which seems to always have paragliding happening. The other side is the beautiful lake where you can sit on chairs right next to the water while you eat and drink wine. The character and history of the building was beautiful. The staff was excellent, especially the waiters and waitresses. I am vegan and my boyfriend vegetarian, they were more than happy to make us amazing meals! There is a plant based menu for dinner as well which we were so happy to see. The food is wonderful and beautifully presented. They have a nice parking lot for people who drive there and have bikes you can rent which I highly recommend. We will definitely try to return soon!

Second time in this hotel, this time with family and we all loved it. Everything is practical, kids loved the quadruple room which is a giant bunk bed, it is modern and clean Lobby/bar area excellent for kids and adults. And this time: they had a dj in the lobby and we partied with my husband after tucking the kids in the bed, our room was on ground floor! The sound was not too loud and did not come into the rooms Breakfast is nice, it had more variety when i was there for the first time. Still the offer is much better than the standard in France. Decent pool table for free! And lots of other games Overall fantastic stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, thanks to the exceptional team. From the warm welcome by the staff outside the doors to the efficient reception and helpful concierge, which were at my service almost 24hr and always supported with any request, every interaction was pleasant. The frequent shuttle service to the city center was a huge plus, making it easy to explore. I also appreciated the convenience of having a ski rental store within the hotel and the seamless service to the sister hotel, which provided direct access to the ski entrance. The sauna was great

I always appreciate having a coffee machine in the room. The garden and pool areas were very beautiful. The pool was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was excellent, with a magnificent view of the lake. And the staff were very friendly. I will definitely come back here again!

The 'Old Town' is why most people go there however two 80 + fit pensioners doing over 12k (each) steps was very enjoyable if somewhat tiring. Plenty of places to eat, rather too many outlets selling 'the usual tripper' 'Tat' - But that has to be expected in this day and age - you don't HAVE to buy it ! Boy are they 'raking the money in' on the boat trips ! ... but really enjoyable and relaxing after the walking. Just do it !

The town is quite run down with a lot of graffiti and many closed businesses. The gondola to the Bastille was very uncomfortable and really there was nothing at the top, except the view of the city. However, we had two great dinners - one in a traditional French restaurant and the other at a 1 star Michelin restaurant.

Interesting town with cultural heritage. I was just passing through en route from Italy to London but it is a perfect stopover for one night. Unfortunately I was there on a Monday, when some attractions eg the castle are closed but I did visit the cathedral. There are many restaurants which sell local produce.

Aix-les-Bains is a very pleasant town on the shores of the biggest lake in France: Lake Bouget. There are lots of restaurants and places to visit including a Casino, mountains and water sports. If you can, we recommend you try the boat cruse around the lake and include a meal on board.

We were on a mission to revisit Parc de Merlet with our grandaughter thirty-six years after we took her mother. The Parc delivered, with Chamois, Mouflon and Marmots to enjoy. The views from accommodation on that side of the valley are the best in the valley. In Les Houches village, the local patisserie was visited and a different cake enjoyed every day. There were plenty of paths (including Tour de Mont Blanc) into the forest, for walks from the chalet. Wonderful Alpine wildlife is easy to find. It was convenient to take the free train into Chamonix and take a ride to Le Brevent then walk the ridge and back to the chalet. We did the Mer de Glas, to from Chamonix. We went up to Bellevue on the teleferique and walked across the alp, finding several wild flowers and even a rare Wart-Biter Grasshopper! We then took the Tramway du Mont Blanc down to Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains and had a lovely afternoon in the beautiful park. There was a very tough Via Ferrata for the over 70s (with 50 years experience) and a Go Ape-type circuit with a rock-climb included in the trail for the 10-year-old and her Mamma, then train back to Les Houches. One weekend evening was lively down in the village, but up on the hill we could sit out in relative calm and stare at the sunset on snowy Mont Blanc, stars and the torch-lights of mountaineers picking their way down. All-in-all, very relaxing.

Evian-les-Bains in June, during what should be peak tourist season, felt unexpectedly lifeless. Many stores appeared permanently closed, and the town lacked any real atmosphere after early evening—by 10pm, only the casino restaurant was still serving food. This left few options for late dining or entertainment. Given these circumstances and the general sense of a closed-up town, I would not recommend visiting Evian-les-Bains, especially if you're expecting a lively lakeside resort experience. While some guides and official tourism pages highlight Evian's attractive lakefront, Belle Époque architecture, and potential activities along the lake and nearby outdoors, recent firsthand accounts confirm a lack of vibrancy and operational businesses, even in traditionally busy months. For travelers who prioritize a bustling atmosphere and broad dining options long into the evening, it may be better to look elsewhere.
