A beautiful little town with a lovely marina and bars to sit and watch the world go by. The town is up quite a steep hill but is a nice, compact centre with a lot to see and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to spend time relaxing and winding down.Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The city is much more lively than Bastia with a nice art museum a historical museum and several beautiful beaches not far (3 miles) from the city center. Unfortunately, I booked an all day boat trip to Bonifacio which was cancelled due to rough seas. I understand that this is not uncommon so you might consider this when determining your length of stay.Guest review bycarolUnited States - 10.0
Bonfacio is lovely.
Bonfacio is lovely. The Old Town is perched on the cliffs and offers superb views across the sea to Sardinia. It is packed with lovely winding streets and little shops and restaurants offered a wide choice of food. Our fav restaurant in Old Town was Chez Julien and near the port, Chez Francis. We didn't have a car but still managed to get around - there's a bus service to Porto Vecchio and you can take the ferry to Sardinia, it only takes an hour. There are plenty of boat trips from companies dotted around the harbour. We were there off season, there are more bus routes available during the main summer season. We still really enjoyed our time there though.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A lovely small town with a nice vibe and plenty of options to get out on the water and explore the coast. The town is great but also easy to get up into the hills for fabulous walks with wild goats and amazing views. A lovely combination of beach/sea and mountain/ forests. We'll be back next year!Guest review byJulietteUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Location ideal for touring Southern Corsica.
Location ideal for touring Southern Corsica. Evening sunsets were beautiful. Many good restaurants for evening meals.. particularly enjoyed Riva Bella and Dolce Mare. Car parking was good on the port side and the barrier was up when we left after our evening meals. Appeared to be numerous boat trips available if required.Guest review byMalcolmFrance - 6.0

Porticcio is very touristy, it has a beach yes (but a very urban view), can get crowded. There are other beaches 10-15minutes drive from apartment that should be explored and have nice views. We visited A Cupulata - turtle mini zoo which was a nice experience just 25 min drive. The best supermarkets are outside Ajacio, like Carrefour, Eleclerc and Geant Casino, I found the small supermarkets near Porticcio more expensive.Guest review byClaudiaPortugal - 8.0
Very pretty village, with a really interesting history.
Very pretty village, with a really interesting history. Quirky and lots of flowers. Narrow and steep streets, very little signage, hard to navigate with a car. Parking is a problem. Restaurants are adequate, but nothing special. One supermarket (thank god!), but no fish! One baker. One pharmacy. Everything was overpriced. Had the feeling they were reliant on tourists in the summer months, and resented it. Not as friendly as the South of France where everyone responds to your 'Bonjour' when you enter a shop.Guest review byHelenFrance - 10.0

This is a charming mountain town perched on the top of a ridge. it is great town to stroll around and learn about its history. the Saturday market in the plaza is fun and you will get real artesian products (food yum). the real trill about being in the area are the hikes. if you are into it book yourself a few nights so yo can go explore.Guest review bySergioUnited States - 8.0

We stayed at the beach Pinarellu, which is a fantastic location; a few bars and lots of beach and pinetrees. The village Sainte Lucie has a market and big supermarket SuperU which is great. Not so great the rare traffic light which creates queues.Guest review byJurgenNetherlands - 10.0

Good start point for visiting Corsica's natural parks and south of the island. The near beach is not crowded but we visited better beaches on Corsica. I guess there is only one small shop which is not opened whole day.Guest review byMarekCzech Republic
