- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,778 reviewsLoved this hotel! The room was huge! The beds were very comfy. The pool area was small but not busy, and the steam room and Jacuzzi were both great. The staff really made an effort to make us feel welcome and the building inside and out is very grand. It is a perfect location, close enough to be a short walk from the front but far enough away not to be noisy. We loved it.Guest review byMarieUnited Kingdom

The aquarium, cathedral and old city wall’s walk were all very well worth doing. We enjoyed them all. We also enjoyed wandering through the fish markets. We walked everywhere, which was easy enough. We had very easy access to lots of good options of places to eat, from where we were, with many right on our doorstep.Guest review byTamsynUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were there to play golf so it was perfect for that as there are 3 courses a practice green and driving range all in one area, every where was really well maintained. We hired electric trolleys on 2 occasions and a push trolley for a 9 hole round The club house had extensive seating inside and on the patio area with food and drink freshly prepared In the town there are lots of bars for pre dinner drinks and restaurants of all types seafood is popular but there is plenty of other options It is very easy to walk everywhere and huge walk areas along the side of the sea frontGuest review byGuyBriggsUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Lovely town with a lot of history.
Lovely town with a lot of history. The tour of the Boves under the tourist information is well worth a visit. We have visited Arras before and never knew they were there! Very friendly people. Parking in the Grand Place is very handy but quite expensive, 20 euros for 24 hrs, but there is also free parking about 10 mins walk away from the centre.Guest review byCarol 'ryuUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Berck is the French equivalent of Great Yarmouth, a great big beach, stuff to do and loads of beachfront flip flop shops. Le Touquet down the road is much posher but Berk was friendly and very welcoming to families.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice stop over, 40 mins from Calais, en route for the south.
Nice stop over, 40 mins from Calais, en route for the south. We arrived on a late Sunday afternoon in August. It was easy to get to and small and quiet enough to get a taste of French life without feeling we'd missed too much. We wandered the streets, admiring the architecture, visited the museum as it was closing, stopped for a drink in a bar and shopped for basic ingredients at a local store. It felt safe. Perfect for a stop over. After leaving Saint Omer we drove south and stopped in Nemours for lunch, picking up picnic items from the supermarket and parking up in a big carpark on a very attractive part of the river. Would recommend as an alterrnative to the services.Guest review byRachaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We visited for the World Cyclocross racing, so wasn't there to explore Lens itself. However we found a variety of bars and restaurants that were reasonably priced. We'd have visited Rhe Louvre, but it was closed on the day we could have gone (Friday). Great transport to Lille via train.Guest review byVickyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We have visited Wissant many times before for days out and decided to stay in Hotel Normandy for this trip. The hotel is friendly and traditionally French which we liked, we ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel and especially enjoyed the set menu at dinner. The hotel is just a short walk to the beach and convenient for nearby bars and restaurants, it has an outside bar and terrace. Market day is Thursday in Wissant and is worth a look. Wissant is not a traditional destination for British tourists, but it’s one of our favourite places as it’s less commerciallised than many more towns along the Opal Coast.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom
