The hotel was beautiful, the staff was very friendly. The pool was small but adequate. We did not eat at the restaurant as it was a little too fancy for our taste, but did find a great restaurant up the hill called the Trident.

Gorgeous place . It’s so beautiful you want to stay in and spend more time on the property. Staff are very nice. The young man working the night shift was so kind . Not only carrying all our luggage to our room, but also by 7:30 in the morning , he had printed a long list of all the surrounding little cities we could enjoy exploring during our stay.

We visited in July during the French Theater festival. It was a little too busy for our liking, but if you like French theater, it's a great time to be there. We took a tour of the Pope's palace, which is amazing and well worth visiting. We also did a half day tour of the lavender fields, which are about an hour away. Probably a full day tour would have been better. Good walking city overall.

A large historic city centre with hundreds of small individual shops and restaurants. The squares are a wonderful place to eat at night and you should not miss the food markets on a Saturday. Very helpful and pleasant staff in the shops and restaurants and a very beautiful city. Access is easy by train from Marsallie or other towns in the south France; you don't need a car. Best to eat away from the main street as it's netter value and the food in thr local bakeries is amazing. I'd especially recommend Boulangerie Hats Aix Espiariat for breakfast and lunch

Arles is a very interesting town for lovers of Van Gogh and also antiquities. All the places visited were interesting. Perhaps the Fondation Van Gogh isn’t worth visiting. There are only 2 paintings by Van Gogh and not much information. It is quite pretentious. The garden of the hospital is lovely. We also visited the sanatorium in Saint-Remy which is very sympathetically restored snd full of beautiful things snd a lot of information.

We Didn’t like Toulon. Large, busy place. The main town wasn’t nice and not somewhere I would want to walk around. Beaches were very average - dusty shingle rather than sand. I wouldn’t return or recommend. We included the visit in a stopover.

there are no 5star hotel groups there.. no Mario's or sheratons or Hiltons ? wonder why ?? the hotels are overpriced for the value we get. But the city is lovely and a very nice place to visit. Ie. the Breakfast place where we stay - the older generation with old mentality are Races and Rude, but the new younger generation are very nice and polite. I thin the older ones have their pains in the Ass..s to worry

Hyeres is beautiful like with a touch of Saint Tropez but way more peaceful. The people are nice and kind-very helpful. There are so many beach to chooce from. The transfortation is efficient enough. My favorite spot is the Port Saint Pierre- where you can dine by the port. I stayed in Ibis Budget hotel which is very close to the city center. I drove down from the Marne valley and this was as far as I wanted to drive in one day! Orange is a delightful little town with Roman theatre the main attraction, but I used it as a base to visit Mont Ventoux (Tom Simpson memorial), Avignon, Arles, Camargue and Pont du Gard - all easily reached by car. Quieter than the main Provence towns but with nice restaurants and cafes so was very happy with it as a base for 3 days. Favourite lunch spot was the Brasserie du Mule du Pape in Chateauneuf du Pape.
