- From $392.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 590 reviewsFrom the moment we checked in we felt all the travel stress disappear. When you are taken away from reception to sit down while checking in with a glass of sparkling wine you know you are in for a great experience. We stayed in the Newport suite and it is truly one of the prettiest, largest rooms we have stayed at in Europe. It has a deck that leads right to the water, an incredible bed, bathtub, shower and sitting area. We were blown away. Franck the GM and Gregory the bartender went out of their way to make us feel so VIP. The pool was great despite the wind, we found a nice area to sunbathe. The food is exceptional here. We had breakfast and dinner and were so impressed. We also had a private wine tasting to learn more about the region. Truly can't say enough and are already dreaming of returning! Thank youGuest review byBrancoUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 303 reviewsFrom the beginning to the end everything was perfect! Nicolas was very helpful since the pre-arrival till we checked out! He helped us with a lot of suggestions about what to do in the region. Everything went well. The lady who served us breakfast every day was also amazing and very friendly. Your room us cleans and made up by the time you are having breakfast. The pool/jacuzzi area is so incredible, very peaceful. Overall we had a great time and would surely recommend the place.Guest review byNadiimNetherlands

We stayed in Old Town, Nice, a great location which allowed us to walk through the Old Town shops and restaurants, walk to the different attractions in the area, and either enjoy the beach or walk along the promenade. There were so many restaurants in Old Town that you would never run out of options. Castle Hill, the pedestrian promenade along the sea, the Opera, and the pop up shops to Old Town were all highlights. We took day tours to Cannes, Monaco, St. Tropez and the surrounding area. We also did walking tours of Old Town and Castle Hill. All the tours were great and the meeting points were all walking distance if you stay in Old Town. For places beyond Old Town such as the various Art Museums we took Uber which was very convenient. Overall, Nice is a great hub for exploring the French Rivera!Guest review byRonUnited States - 8.0

Mostly disappointed with pollution!
Mostly disappointed with pollution! Smoking is allowed everywhere. Worst ever on all my trips! Beaches are pretty dirty! And the seawater is very dirty. I did not expect this! Very disappointing this time. I'll never go back. There are many prettier places for a real vacation and rest!Guest review byTatjanaCanada - 10.0

It is a marvellous city- stunningly beautiful with a chill, friendly and confident vibe. People are very kind to people with little spoken French and most speak quite good English. The food is great and prices reasonable. Being able to either walk everywhere or use the frequent, comprehensive trams makes exploration a pleasure. Overall, a truly special place.Guest review bySarahTurkey - 10.0

We had a car so we took day trips to surrounding towns in Provence before leaving Avignon to head up to Lyon, then Amboise, then Paris. I wish we had devoted more time to exploring Avignon itself without driving somewhere else every day. Next time I'd plan more time to just hang out in Avignon, and go to the museums, shop, visit close by locations (walking or biking), etc.Guest review byJeanneUnited States - 6.0

If you enjoy spending time in a tourist trap, go to the castle. Much better to go to La Bastide for a more authentic experience. For castles and medieval history there are many better options elsewhere.Guest review byScottUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A large historic city centre with hundreds of small individual shops and restaurants. The squares are a wonderful place to eat at night and you should not miss the food markets on a Saturday. Very helpful and pleasant staff in the shops and restaurants and a very beautiful city. Access is easy by train from Marsallie or other towns in the south France; you don't need a car. Best to eat away from the main street as it's netter value and the food in thr local bakeries is amazing. I'd especially recommend Boulangerie Hats Aix Espiariat for breakfast and lunchGuest review byJeffUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The owners are very responsive. The place is very clean and having everything needed in the kitchen. On the top, we found water in the fridge, some delicious catalan cookies and coffee for the morning. The apartment has air condition. The neighbors are nice, so it is quite.Guest review byLauraBelgium - 10.0

The Arena of Nîmes is a Roman amphitheatre built around 100 AD, shortly after the Colosseum of Rome, it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the world. The Jardins de la Fontaine are one of the first public parks in Europe and, even today, one of the most remarkable. The Museum of Romanity in Nîmes is a museum located opposite the Roman amphitheatre of Nîmes, In the heart of the Nîmoise city, faced with the two-millennial arenas, this archaeological museum presents the collections of the city. Arles is a very interesting town for lovers of Van Gogh and also antiquities. All the places visited were interesting. Perhaps the Fondation Van Gogh isn’t worth visiting. There are only 2 paintings by Van Gogh and not much information. It is quite pretentious. The garden of the hospital is lovely. We also visited the sanatorium in Saint-Remy which is very sympathetically restored snd full of beautiful things snd a lot of information.Guest review byHeatherUnited Kingdom
