Warm and cozy accommodation, with very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows; the room and bathroom equipped for everything you might need for one night stay. Suitable for longer stays as well. Very good location to make a pit stop if you are exploring the island. Good continental breakfast, with a nice variety of fresh fruits. Very good restaurant close by where we ate great sea food - The Old School. 15 min drive to Coral Beach.

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. We were even lucky enough to receive an upgrade, which made the experience even more special. From the warm and attentive staff to the beautiful room, excellent facilities, and delicious food—every detail was outstanding. The setting itself is simply breathtaking. Even the drive down to the car park felt magical, almost like stepping into a fairytale. It’s truly a stunning place in every sense. As a lovely final touch, the staff gave us cookies when we left—such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects their hospitality. I would return in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for the perfect peaceful hideaway on the Isle of Skye, this is the place to stay.

It was an absolute delight staying here. The facilities were perfectly clean, easy to use and very comfortable. The pod was spacious enough and the beds were good and firm. The location is a short 20 minute walk to the north end of the island where the sunset is incredible, the village is only 15 minutes away and has everything you need for a quiet and relaxed island getaway. The host is very helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful castle stay on a huge estate close to the beach. We were transported back in time while we stayed in the tower apartment of the castle with access to the rooftop overlooking the fields of baby lambs and the ocean. Beds were super comfortable and the view from the bathtub just makes you want to linger longer.

To visit the Isle of skye requires time if you really wish to see what’s there. We spent two nights in a guest house in Broadford, which was a great location and a little less expensive than the rest of the island. There are plenty of restaurants and food choices around and Portree is an easy drive. I would recommend travelers have at least three nights on the Isle of Skye if you really want to see and walk what’s there

Toberomory is a charming seaside town and the main village...

Toberomory is a charming seaside town and the main village of Isle of Mull, which is a gorgeous island accessible only by ferry. The first day of our stay we took a tour of the bay with Tobermory Bay Tours, and walked around the town and its environs. The second day of our stay we did a drive around the island, which made for gorgeous views, although driving on single-track roads was a bit harrowing for these Americans. We brought along a delicious picnic lunch purchased at Tobermory Stores, which has lots of local goods (Isle of Mull cheese, smoked goose breast, and local salami). They also have a variety of pasties, including vegan pasties that my vegetarian daughter enjoyed. We enjoyed the Pier for a cozy and delicious lunch (try the smoked haddock soup). For dinner, highly recommend MacGochans which has local seafood (we had the langoustines, which were amazing). We also enjoyed dinner at the Gallery, where I had an amazing carbonara. Absolutely recommend Tobermory for a taste of the Hebrides that is much closer to Glasgow and Edinburgh than Isle of Skye, and not heavily touristed (in mid-June at least)

This was a perfectly dreamy spot on our trip through Scotland. Raasay House was by far our favorite stop on our journey. The staff we encountered throughout our stay were way above average and made us feel welcomed and at home. We can not say enough good things about this spot. Make sure you leave time to explore the island and all the views. We enjoyed a walk around the property after dinner just before dark and the gardens we just as dreamy as the hotel. We felt like special guests during our stay and we only got to spend one night.

A trip here needs time to enjoy the environment around and at the hotel. It is not very near a large town but a village is not far away. But that also makes it special. Make sure to get there during daylight as the roads leading to the hotel are not highways. The food was delicious and well proportioned. We wanted to stay there for longer.

Port Ellen is quite pretty with colourful harbour houses.

Port Ellen is quite pretty with colourful harbour houses. Only a few restaurants and pubs. Particularly enjoyed Ardbeg House for both wonderful character in both the bar and restaurant. The bar has a wonderful beer garden. 100 yards from guest house The attraction to Islay for me was the Whisky and you can walk the distillery path from the guest house and if you have had too many samples book a taxi back to town. We were very well looked after at the guest house with provision made for my wife's gluten free requirments.
