United StatesJoe and Hannah's yurt was located by the main intersection in the center of Gigha, behind their shop and The Nook (Joe himself is also a talented chef!). I stayed four nights and it was the perfect homebase for me to explore the island on bike. The yurt was well-equipped with comfy beds, cookware and utensils, power outlet, high-speed internet (fast enough for Zoom calls), and a wood-burning fireplace. I also had access to my own mini fridge and freezer in the adjacent shed as well as a clean bathroom a few steps away in the main house. I enjoyed waking up the birdsong in the mornings and making a toasty fire in the evenings. I can’t wait to be back!

This was our first time on GIGHA and we’ll definitely be back. It is so peaceful and unspoiled. We cycled, swam and kayaked. The beaches we went to were beautiful and uncrowded. Beautiful Island, such a perfect size for wondering around with beautiful views in every direction. I go back again and again! A stunning island to sit back, relax and unwind.
A stunning island to sit back, relax and unwind. Beautiful beaches, clean, unspoilt, crystal clear sea, outstanding views, quiet, easy to get around, ideal for cycling. Great food in Gigha Hotel.
