The resort is super clean, and our suite was just beautiful and spacious with 2 full baths and great a/c. The food was wonderful in both the main dining area and the resort restaurants. I am an American fluent in Greek so I connected with the staff. They are really nice people. We were there in late July so I don't know if the resort was at full capacity or not, but there were plenty of chairs available on the beach, plenty of room on the pool decks and in the pools. The water park at the back of the resort was so much fun, too. If you don't want to walk to the beach (which seems far, but it's really not) you can go via golf cart. The staff are incredibly friendly and do their absolute best to ensure your stay is memorable, especially Nicolas. The restaurant has good food and one of the best sunset views you will experience. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and very functional. I recommend getting a room with a view, as the sunsets are breathtaking. Evening walks through the town square and the nearby streets filled with local shops and traditional products were some of the highlights of our stay. A wonderful beach with several beach bars with sunloungers and umbrellas for hire or for free if you have meals there. The main road can be busy but never felt unsafe, with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. All beaches were clean and tidy. Enjoyed by the locals, often staying past sundown. Lots of tavernas to enjoy. Short walk to 2 supermarkets if needed, well stocked. We went during school holidays so it was pretty busy but the tourist high street was quiet during the day while everyone was on the beach. The food was excellent. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beach bars were also good. The Cretans were very friendly and helpful. Crete has plenty of interesting sites to visit both inland and on the coast. It's a small town with some restaurants which are really good. It is more of a tourist village than a local village. However, the food is good, there are supermarkets and souvenir boutique. Additionally, there are some activities to do, and there is a beach. The relaxed atmosphere and the lovely apartment at Falassarna beach studio apartments. Excellent breakfast served in the courtyard overlooking the beach. The apartment was spotlessly clean with stunning views from the balcony. Plenty of tavernas nearby serving great food. A lovely beach within walking distance and Big beach a few mins drive away. Massive thing i wish i knew before is the bus system is the cheapest form of travel to and from the Chania airport and is fairly quick and regular, prices starting from 2.50 euros .Stalos was a perfect destination for all age groups , clean , all the bars and restaurants are family/locally owned and all the people are freindly and polite .
