    The location and atmosphere of the site are spectacular...

    The location and atmosphere of the site are spectacular rather than the ruins themselves which are, sadly, not great compared with many Greek/ Hellenistic sites elsewhere in the Mediterranean region. But there is an excellent museum. All in all, it's good for 3 hours, tops. Nothing else to see or do in the immediate area unless you want to go hiking of which there are plenty of options in great countryside.

    A picturesque old town that has maintained its character (unlike nearby places like Itea). There is not a lot to do; a couple of days would suffice for Galaxidi; however, you can use it to explore the area. For example the orqacle of Delphi is 30 mins away. Arachova is not far. Nafpaktos abotu 40 mins away. So Galaxidi is a great place to use as a base. In Galaxidi itself there are plenty of good restaurants and tavernas as well as bars and coffee places. Do not miss a visit to the naval museum; it is worth the time to see the excibits and understand the history of Galaxidi.

    We stayed for 2 days Arachova which gave up plenty of time to visit Delphi and get to know the town. Beautiful views, great restaurants. Be prepared for narrow streets with 2 way traffic and pedestrians all vying for a spot, but by our 3rd week in Greece we realized we just need to pay attention and everyone looks out for one another on the road. Arachova is easy to get around walking. We ate at Το Τσουκάλι and had an incredible experience with the chef suggesting each part of our 4 course locally sourced Greek mountain meal and were treated to a bonus dessert!

    We used Itea as a base to travel to Galaxidi, Delphi, and Arcahova. It’s an attractive little place with sea front cafes/food/bars. They are just lively enough for you to still enjoy the tranquillity of being near sea and mountains. The locals are lovely people and welcome you.

    Nice little village neat Parnassos. It feels like the local businesses are never ready to accommodate visitors in high demand period (Long weekends/ Holidays). However the scenery is really nice and you can surely enjoy your stay if you are looking for peaceful vacation in the mountains.

    Delfoi is wonderful but small.

    Delfoi is wonderful but small. If you’re coming to see the ruins and the museum, both can be done in one day. A second set of ruins I had planned to visit were closed for refurbishment. The museum takes about an hour maybe less to get through. I would recommend one day only in Delfoi.

    We definitely enjoyed our stay in Arachova.

    We definitely enjoyed our stay in Arachova. Our host was there to provide us with the keys when we arrived. We loved the location of the apartment which was central to all that we wanted to see. It was comfortable, clean, safe and well stocked with breakfast and for us lunch items. I would definitely recommend this property for others visiting Arachova.

    We stayed in Itea in an Airb&b to be close to Amphissa my mums town, where we spent Greek Easter with relatives. Itea is a great seaside town with a great promenade filled with cafes, bars, restaurants, and local food shops and bakeries. I know in the summer the sea is great to swim in as we use to swim in it as children and many locals from the surrounding villages visit Itea for the swimming and to eat and drink at the restaurants and bars. If you have access to a car, its close to Galaxidi a great seaside village with good fish restaurants ( recommend -Ab oVo ) on the seafront (a great day out) and also to the more tourist villages of Delphi and Arahova in the mountains. If visiting Delphi (with car) for the ancient monuments, Apolos temple and museum, I would recommend staying in Itea, less touristy, possibly cheaper and better restaurants. In Itea I recommend Flame for great pizza, Scala restaurant for good basic greek food - good fish. My cousin recommends Ta Dichtya restaurant for fresh fish and Archontikon cafe, bar and ice-cream place and they also have a cake shop further down which is known for its great cakes and pastries. If near Arahova avoid the touristy restaurants and head for - To Fasouli restaurant just outside the village on the Arachova-Eptalofos road, excellent food, views and great service. If visiting the area I would definitely stay in Itea again. My brothers stayed in Hotel Galini in the center of Itea and Hotel Kalafati towards the end of the promenade about 15 minutes walk to the center, both were pleased with the Hotels cleanliness and good accomodation.
