Lovely place in a great location with friendly staff We liked our stay and recommend the hotel
The location was lovely, quiet and remote. The property was picturesque and tidy. We loved the beach area with the sun-beds and umbrellas. The restaurant was really good; the included breakfast was wonderful! The staff were friendly and very helpful, transporting our bags and making reservations for us. The private, complimentary ferry was an amazing perk. I wish we could have booked one of the tours on the larger boat, but we just didn’t have time. Next time!
This is a family business, attended by them. They all are really friendly so you fell in a family house
The breakfast is served by the owner, and everyday is different, with many greek specialties.
The location is excellent. 4 minutes to the port, and 1 minute to the best taverna in town. And very quiet. Highly recommended!
Excellent location, beautiful building, great staff and a swimming pool. Room with lots of character and big, comfortable bed. Good breakfast and poolside service. Staff very helpful with excursions, restaurants etc. We will definitely return when we are on Hydra next.
I love the beautiful stone walls and lovely decor. The owner, Kostas is very sweet and helpful. The room was cleaned daily and had a lovely shared veranda. It's close to everything in town.
It's also very quiet except for the occasional donkey or rooster 😂
I think this is my favorite hotel ever!!!! I stayed with my friend for 2 nights at the end of August and I loved it so much I booked it for my mother and brother who enjoyed it immensely.
Hydra island blew me away with it’s beauty
The people were helpful and friendly
Eat at many restaurants all had great food, and stunning views of the harbour
The night life does not start until 9pm and goes late in to the night
Breakfast before 9/30am is a little difficult as most restaurants are not fully open

Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.

I loved this island.
I loved this island. It was so charming and such a slow lifestyle, which is definitely what I needed (and I'm sure a lot of people need on vacation). You could spend hours in the harbor watching boats go by, or take a water taxi to the different beaches around the Island. I didn't get to do it, but I wish I did Harriet's Horses while I was there. It's a small company that takes people throughout the island on horseback. I contacted the woman who ran it, and she was so kind. GO TO THIS ISLAND! It is incredible, I truly don't know how anyone could not be so in love with it.

Hydra was my favorite stop in Greece. Lovely little island, no cars, lots of art, cute unique boutiques, easy access to interesting sites… not too much touristy junk. Food was delicious and affordable.
