Where do I start - we truly enjoyed our holidays at Enorme Santanna Beach Hotel. The facilities and rooms have very nice, clean design. From the hotel there is a nice view to the city and mountains. Hotel is located next to the beach which is fully equipped beach with comfortable sunbeds and beach bar. The beach is rocky - black rock and sand beach, but I really liked the character of the beach. Although the sea bottom itself is rocky, still it is possible to comfortably enter it and swim. Food was excellent - fresh and delicious, I especially enjoyed breakfast and dinner, it’s wide variety of different cusines and desserts were outstanding. The staff is friendly, kind and always ready to help you, so for the hotel staff itself I give 10/10. You are great and doing a great job there! As this was the first part of our trip and we did not want to do anything much just sunbathe on the beach and relax, we found this a perfect choice.

The accommodation at the property exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. In addition to daily cleaning, the staff provided thoughtful touches such as tidying the room before dinner service, which made the stay feel truly luxurious. Every restaurant offered a unique experience with a wide variety of high-quality dishes. Breakfast was plentiful, and the wine cellar gave us the chance to taste excellent local wines—an unforgettable experience. The resort has a wide beachfront and plenty of space, so it never feels crowded, even during peak season. You can enjoy the beach all day without feeling overwhelmed. Food and beverage service is available throughout the day, and room service is always reliable, so you never go without. Most importantly, the staff were outstanding—from the front desk to the restaurant teams and the beach service staff, every single person was exceptionally helpful, always smiling, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay memorable. Their attentiveness and personal approach truly set the property apart. One detail that really impressed us was how the staff remembered and respected our dining preferences. On one occasion, we returned a dish without realizing it contained an ingredient we do not eat. The very next day, when we ordered fish, the restaurant team had already adjusted the dish in advance to match our preference—without us even needing to ask. That level of attention to detail made us feel truly cared for. Overall, this was a holiday experience on another level—everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing, and memorable stay was there.

I could not speak highly enough of Paul and his team at Elounda Park & Resort. Professional, Courteous, Polite, Kind, gentle to mention a few. As a group we were all upgraded to the villas and these were cleaned DAILY as well as the pool. We had a fabulous time on holiday and there is no doubt about it. The views were breathtaking, relaxing and peaceful. There was so much to do both at the villa, the resort and the town. For animal lovers they also have a resident dinning cap. We got free pic up and drop off services to the villa which made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you once again for a lovely time and we haven’t been able to stop telling everyone about our trip.

Wonderful. I paid peanuts for a superb quality room on the side street with extremely efficient A/C and had the use of the 8th floor bar until 7pm with reasonably priced drinks and lower floor pool the whole day. I opted for dinner buffet which was good quality food, great price and nice company. this is a real “find” within a few minutes walk from the port . I arrived around 13.45 for a 14.00 check-in and found a foc parking spot in the road uphill from the hotel main entrance (steep hillside) I thoroughly recommend

Agios Nikolaos is not a big city.

Agios Nikolaos is not a big city. This give you the opportunity to learn it by walking. It's lake is very impressive. It is a scenic place with traditional food (and the near villages). Also near is the Spinalonga island to visit. Very nice beaches all around. Events with traditional cretan music (one of the best there)!

It is in a great location one hour away from Heraklion.

It is in a great location one hour away from Heraklion. Between Plaka and Agios Nicholaos which are two lovely towns for day visits. It has lovely shops, a cute beach and great Restaurants. Would highly recommend the Farryman on the boardwalk for a romantic dinner!

Ierapetra is not as overrun with tourists as other areas of Crete, so if you are trying to avoid the masses, Ierapetra is a great place to come to. It has excellent infrastructure (shops, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) and the beach is very nice. The beaches on the southern coast are gorgeous and can be easily reached by car from Ierapetra. I can highly recommend booking a private cruise to Chrissi Island, the waters are Caribbean-like!

Sutija is a beautiful seaside town with a lot of restaurants along the coast. The food is delicious, the locals are friendly and hospitable. The city beach is extremely clean, as is the sea, so it is not necessary to travel to other beaches, but you should definitely visit at least some because they are all beautiful. Probably one of the nicest place in Crete.

Probably one of the nicest place in Crete. In the south-east this small village with harbor and several taverns direct on the sea, which serve excellent food at a reasonable price has no overtourism until now. At the beautiful 3 km sandy beach, many very nice private App direct on the beach or above the harbor in the old town offer perfect locations to stay. Only at the end of the sandy beach away from the rest of accommodations a hotel complex offers an all inclusive stay.

We had a wonderful family holiday at Villa Domingo! The house was spotless, very spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The children loved the pool, while the adults enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The location is great, with beaches, restaurants, and attractions just a short drive and walk away. A special thank you to Michalis, who was an amazing host. He was very friendly, welcoming, and always available to help. His recommendations and attention to detail made our stay even better. We highly recommend Villa Domingo to anyone visiting Crete, especially families. It was a wonderful experience, and we are already looking forward to coming back

Big sandy beaches. Good tavernas, we liked MeRaki. Istron is a "strip" of a village running along a main road. There are apartments and hotels up the hillside from the road, with not too much road noise. When rough you can hear the sea from your apartment. Apart from the beaches and eating places there is probably not too much else to do.

Myrtos is a busy little town with parking just on the outskirts. Interesting streets with lots of shops and cafes, so good to walk around and explore. Beach front cafes to sit and watch the world go by. Choice of many tavernas for food and drink.

The house Polidoros itself is absolutely beautiful—thoughtfully designed, immaculately maintained, and perfectly capturing the charm and tranquility of the area. Every detail feels carefully considered, creating a space that is both luxurious and incredibly welcoming. What truly made this experience outstanding, however, was the host’s warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care, which made us feel not just like guests, but truly at home.

The local restaurants are excellent.

The local restaurants are excellent. We particularly liked the 'Natural foods' one at the turn off for Mocholos, about 4 km from the village. This is a classic family run taverna. However, those in the village were almost as good. In October the place is still lively and pleasant.
