We really loved this hotel. Everything was clean and very modern. The staff was absolutly great, always very friendly and helpful. We even got an upraded room which was absolutly stunning. Parking was easy, the staff parked the car for us in the parking garage. We loved the pool of the hotel, as well. Breakfast and dinner were also great. We can really recommend this hotel!

Great location. There is a supermarket nearby and quick access to two beaches. A comfortable room with absolutely everything you need for your vacation. You will feel the utmost hospitality. For now - it's my favourite all inclusive hotel. I've been to many all-inclusives in other countries, but this hotel, it exceeded my expectations. Maybe I didn't expect anything, I thought “at least they would feed me and there would be no russians” but here we came and every day we said that this is incredible hotel and it has a place in our hearts. Here is some info: 1) This is an adult hotel. And that says it all. This is WOW. When you want to relax, to have a quite place, to swim quietly and read a book, this is the perfect place. Sometimes it seemed to us that people were whispering to each other when they were lying on the sun loungers so as not to disturb others. And overall, I liked the hotel guests, no drunk and shouting people, but polite and calm people. 2) Staff. Well, this is a separate love. We often talked to animators and bartenders. They are so cool and nice people. We already miss you Stelly, Chris, Alex, the cool lifeguard at the pool and the bartenders. The kitchen and restaurant staff - you are just beyond praise, you are super professionals! 3) Room. We had a junior suite. Very well maintained, beautiful and stylish. Had everything we needed. Very clean and cool view from the terrace! 4) Food. OMG!!! How delicious and varied it was! I don't like oatmeal, but here I ate even it :)) I liked absolutely everything. There are evenings of different cuisines, for example, Greek, Italian, Asian, etc. There was always different meat, every day there was some kind of fish, and sometimes a whole aquatic kingdom (tuna steaks, salmon, shrimp, octopus, mussels, and other types of fish). Sweets are just the top. Lots of fruits, vegetables, salads, pizza, pasta, soups and much more. As for drinks, we used to buy water in the store. The taste of beverages from the machine - like salt water. Cocktails also have a slightly salty taste, so we ordered a Prosecco. 5) Hotel.

There were extreme weather conditions (extreme Sahara dust, Erminio cyclone) during our stay, which was very challenging for everybody. The hotel welcomed us 1.5h earlier than the usual check-in time to give us a safe shelter and they invited us for lunch already on the first day. They did their very best to bring the highest standards possible under the very difficult conditions. We were kept informed about everything. After the check-out they invited us to stay for another lunch. Rikina (at the reception) was extremely nice but all staff were super helpful and friendly. This was the perfect hotel to stay confined: There was both a bath AND a shower in the bathroom. The wall between the bathroom and the room had a window, so you could watch TV from the bath. 😊(It also had a blind if you wanted to close it). There was a game room for the kids to play ping-pong, a tennis court to play tennis, a gym, a spa where we used the sauna, the jacuzzi and I got a massage. My children (8 and 14y) ate very well in the restaurant (all included). The mountain view and the view to the outdoor pools were stunning. The outside pools were very nice but we did not try as weather was not suitable.

We had the best experience at The syntopia, blown away about the service, soooo good food, drinks, room and hospitality. The Syntopia is really the hotel to go to if you want a relaxing and luxury experience. Big thanks to Michael in the reception for taking such good care of us and made us keep our room full day for our late departure, really recommend to take the all inclusive part, then you will have the big range of drinks during the full day and the food was way over all our expecations. Also Harah from the pool service who always had a smile on her face and kept us hydrated by the pool every day. Rooms are also very high designed with inspiring interior. This is the perfect getaway for peace and quiet. The hotel has preserved the traditional aspects of this old Cretan village. Every room has it's own individual style, which is lovely. There is a welcome drink and a tour offered at check-in. The room itself (we had the Hyades room) was very spacious with all amenities needed. I particularly enjoyed the bath products. Cute little swimming pool with yummie snacks and drinks and the best fries i have ever had. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast options were good, a few traditional Cretan products as well. Good coffee.

The location of the hotel is just very close to old Resmo, and port. The rooms are comfy and breakfast has all the options for anyone from any place of the world. Before choosing this place I read some comments but I value my experience. I saw some saying it was not clean etc. However, the hotel needs some restoration that's for sure but it has nothing to do with cleanliness. Doors and some furnitures should be renewed that's all. I liked its location, I liked staff smiling faces, I liked my bed.

Wonderful place to stay near old town with many shopping and food options of all types, easy to get around and close to attractions and beach. Lots of ideas available for experiences. Hop on hop off bus very valuable to see the main sites

The town is just the right size — not too big.

The town is just the right size — not too big. Its rural and local character really comes through; we even watched goat herders at work just nearby. There’s a good variety of restaurants and several shops. For those with limited mobility, there’s a convenient flat sidewalk running along the beach. If you’re willing to drive a short distance, there are plenty of stunning beaches to choose from depending on the wind direction. It’s an excellent location for beach life and all kinds of water activities. At Paralia Souda, there was also an aid for wheelchair users to get into the water — provided they’re able to transfer into the seat. There’s also lots to do nearby — one tip is to hike up to Saint Paisios Church or visit the nearby mountain villages with their amazing views towards Plakias (see the photo).

Perfect hotel for a one-night layover. Relatively new facility with all the essentials. Beds and pillows were perfect, how shower, A/C, parking....very clean too. As a bonus there's a great restaurant serving authentic meals and a nice buffet breakfast too. Friendly people.

Perfect little village, lovely family beach, taste the greek cuisine in the restaurants, your daily shopping and more is available in the shops and enjoy the greek hospitality all around Panormos! Perfect start for trips to Rethymno, Lake Kournas, Georgiopolis, Chania, Agia Galini, Matala, Preveli Palm Beach and lots of lovely beaches and small villages with cute tavernas and great views along perfect roads! And be sure to make a boattrip, the water is a blue-green paradise!

A small vibrant fishing village which offers plenty of restaurants and accommodations. The beach is clean but a little small. Water is clean with access via a short walk from the village centre. It is quite hilly and may present problems for certain visitors. Evenings are very lively with many restaurants and some shops. It is centrally placed for journeys to others beaches and destinations such as Matala, Spili and so on.

Our main. reason for visiting the area was because we were attending a wedding. I did find that Adelianos Kampos was located near to a lot of pick ups for tours around Crete to allow you to experience other areas around the island. Many places to eat around the area, but none that really stuck out for me that I would recommend. Just walk around the area because there is much to choose from.

I really like Platanes, it's not too far from the busy Rethymno centre and slightly more relaxed than being near the main areas, but still has nice restaurants and beach bars etc. and good access to main roads etc. if you like to get out and adventure without getting stuck in congestion, which can sometime be found neare to centre.

Very near the sea. 2 very good supermarkets, bakery and chemist. Good restaurants. Not hectic busy so excellent for relaxing break.Local villages of Asteri and Chamalevri within walking distance. As is Pagkalochori which has Asani monastery. Wonderful authentic Cretan experience.

The villa is well placed and suitable for up to 4 people. The local cafes and tavernas provide great food and drink at reasonable prices. The beach is lovely and less crowded than the naturist beach which looked very busy. We used Damnoni water sports for paddleboarding and kayak and they were excellent

It's a quiet village with very friendly people and along the beach road you very quickly arrive at the next village that has a mini market and 3 or 4 tavernas. It's not for people looking for nightlife and shops. A car is needed to get there and to be able to go to bigger town with shops and other sights of interest. Our favourite places in Rodakino were Korakas beach cafe; Super market Zafeirakis where the lady was friendly and helpful and Nikos & Anna Taverna. Just a little further away the taverna at Peristeres beach is definitely my favourite place to eat.
