The resort is beautiful. Great pools, great beach, great rooms, great brrakfast and restaurant. Everything is top notch. We stayed before in beautiful resorts and I would like to emphasis your biggest assets are your employees...they make the difference. The service is outstanding from arrival at the front desk, restaurant, to housekeeping, beach service and everybody else. We felt the 5 star service!!! George and the rest of the guys were fantastic. The hotel and rooms were spotless. Fresh breakfast every morning. The location was perfect for us, 10 minutes walk to the centre of the old town. I would highly recommend the mojito's beside the pool!!

Great location. There is a supermarket nearby and quick access to two beaches. A comfortable room with absolutely everything you need for your vacation. You will feel the utmost hospitality. I would confidently recommend everyone to stay at Honey Holiday Hotel. I have been to many places, but I have never experienced such comfort and hospitality before.

- unique 19th century building, renovated for comfort and looks incredible. comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and bathtub. amazing private pool - different to each room - breakfast was outstanding - very welcoming - was greeted at 7pm with homemade Greek yogurt and sparkling water - Katerina was amazing, felt very looked after by her and great recommendations - 10 minute walk to the port

Amazing experience My stay at Amira hotel was absolutly great. The hotel is brand new, meaning all the facilities are in a perfect shape. It is even better than the photos. Best of all is the staff, very kind, helpful, smiling,  dedicated to your needs and to make your stay the best possible. I had the good surprise to be upgraded (without asking maybe due to low season?) to a room with sea front view, which was absolutly great. The room is decorated with taste, cleanned every day, with good bedding. The swimming pool area is really nice, and the access to the beach is easy. There is also an inside heated pool, very nice. The beach is clean, has a beautiful view on the mountains on the west, the water is really clean and safe. You can see a beautiful sunset every day. The main restaurant included in the half board is good from my experience of such hotels: tasty, varied and fresh. I strongly recommand the "gourmet" restaurant, the Kritamo: excellent food and large portions with a top class service. The spa is beautiful, good massages, great staff. You can also enjoy sauna and hammam for free, just need to make a booking. It has been a long time I didn't enjoy such a good stay and such a high value for price, thank you very much to all the Amira Team.

Everything. It was fresh and tidy, clean, awesome staff, great views, awesome jacuzzi and wraparound deck with corner unit. The food at breakfast was amazing, and we would highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

We were sadly only here for a quick overnight stay.

We were sadly only here for a quick overnight stay. But during our week in Crete - where we travelled to Chania, Heraklion, and Rethymno - Rethymno was by some margin my favourite destination. Where Chania's historic centre felt as if it had been totally given over to tourism, Rethymno felt more like a substantial town with plenty to explore.

The town is just the right size — not too big.

The town is just the right size — not too big. Its rural and local character really comes through; we even watched goat herders at work just nearby. There’s a good variety of restaurants and several shops. For those with limited mobility, there’s a convenient flat sidewalk running along the beach. If you’re willing to drive a short distance, there are plenty of stunning beaches to choose from depending on the wind direction. It’s an excellent location for beach life and all kinds of water activities. At Paralia Souda, there was also an aid for wheelchair users to get into the water — provided they’re able to transfer into the seat. There’s also lots to do nearby — one tip is to hike up to Saint Paisios Church or visit the nearby mountain villages with their amazing views towards Plakias (see the photo).

A small vibrant fishing village which offers plenty of...

A small vibrant fishing village which offers plenty of restaurants and accommodations. The beach is clean but a little small. Water is clean with access via a short walk from the village centre. It is quite hilly and may present problems for certain visitors. Evenings are very lively with many restaurants and some shops. It is centrally placed for journeys to others beaches and destinations such as Matala, Spili and so on.

Spílion is a beautiful little town full of charm and...

Spílion is a beautiful little town full of charm and character. The stone architecture, natural springs, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy authentic Crete. The local people were friendly, the food was delicious, and the views of the surrounding mountains were stunning. A lovely stop if you're exploring the island!

Fantastic peaceful village with traditional architecture, very close to Rethymno. Good selection of restaurants and coffee shops and with direct access to the highway so as to drive to all the main attractions of Crete.

The town has a long sandy beach, great for swimming. The beach is also suitable for children. There are sun loungers and free-to-use beach chairs on the beach. The town is full of restaurants and shops. Several travel agencies offer programs.

A small (very) village in the mountains marketing themselves...

A small (very) village in the mountains marketing themselves as "eco-tourism " by incorporating their history and agriculture to the modern world. Local crafts, Cretan honey, olive oil and cheese, Sfentoni cave and Wood museum by a local sculptor was icing on the cake.

Prines is a lovely, quiet little village only a 10 minute...

Prines is a lovely, quiet little village only a 10 minute drive away from the busy city of Rethymno. If you want peace and quiet, Prines delivers. There is a small shop/mini-market, a pharmacy, and a couple of fantastic tavernas. There's nothing else to say other than it's very traditional and quiet and it's only a 2 minute drive away from Atsipopoulo, which is a slightly larger village with more bars and tavernas.

Beautiful olive groves.

Beautiful olive groves. In October you can watch the olives being picked. Lots of nice and wild beaches. If you want to leave your clothes dry, you can even go swimming naked in some. Diving is also nearby. Classic beach 7 minutes by car. You can also rent a boat there. 2 km away, the man has built a lovely little church on the hill.

There is no better city!!!

There is no better city!!! It has absolutely everything you could want. From relaxation to partying. The people are incredibly nice, and the food is the best at Maria's home cooking on Papandreou St. 31.
