This is a hidden paradise—a luxury hotel in Finikia, near Oia, that doesn’t envy the famous sunset views. One of the most beautiful sunsets we saw was from the terrace of our room. The room was spacious, with all the amenities: air conditioning, a wide and comfortable bed. We stayed for a week in this amazing place. We received refills of shampoo, soap, and body cream, and the toilet was cleaned without us even asking. The area is full of great restaurants, close to the road and Oia, but less crowded. We had amazing views—perfect for pictures. The hotel staff is simply kind and welcomed us with big smiles that filled us with happiness and trust. I don’t have words to explain how amazing our stay was—only that we’re already counting the days to come back and share more great moments with the hotel staff, who now feel like friends.

A Greek Island Dream

Imagine a typical Greek island with whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and sloping cliffs, and the chances are that you’re thinking of Santorini. Protectively curving around 4 other islands in its archipelago, this volcanic island has fertile ground bringing forth lovely rosé wine and some of the sweetest cherry tomatoes you’ll ever taste.

High on a caldera shelving into the sea, the capital Fira overlooks the cruise liners plying the turquoise Aegean waters below. North is Imerovigli, home to several 5-star Santorini hotels with fantastic views.

Also providing amazing views is the accommodation in Oia across the bay. Cascading down the slopes, the sea of white here is only dispersed by vibrant pink flowers, blue domes and the brown of ancient windmills, all becoming black silhouettes as the sun sets.

Santorini Airport is on the other side of the island and 2 resorts south of it – Kamari and Perissa – have the best, black sand beaches. However, the most visually impressive is Red Beach at Akrotiri where the stunning red colour of the caldera and sand makes the trek down the rockface well worth it. Just time it right to avoid high tide! Also near Akrotiri are excavations of a Minoan era settlement.

Location was great, away from the crowds and only a 10 minute walk to Fira. Other hotels we saw you are walking past their outside area and pool so not very private, Honeymoon Petra is more private and you have uninterrupted views! No need to go to Oia for sunset and compete with the crowds. Truely a beautiful spot. All the staff are attentive and friendly. The pool was so deep and fun to dive into off of a platform they have. Tip the men who carry your bags well as they work so hard carrying the bags to the hotel rooms as you have to walk there. The cave room was incredible and the view from the shower out of this world! Comfortable beds and a bottle of wine on arrival. Brilliant buffet style breakfast, everything you could think of.

Fantastic location, ‘to die for’ views of the caldera. Spacious bedroom, lounge area and large bathroom. Own small pool. Breakfasts were excellent and brought to the room ( lots of choice) Staff were most helpful and attentive. Imerovigli was a great choice away from the hustle and bustle of nearby towns. There’s also a great walking track that you can access outside the gate of the property that takes you to nearby Oui in one direction and Fira in the opposite, spectacular views. Spoiled for choice with restaurants galore.

We loved everything about Suites of the Gods. The first impression was "wow", amazing suite, wonderful pool and outdoor bar. Stunning view overlooking the ports and harbour. The amenities were great with the gym decently equipped. The dining room was beautifully decorated and laid out with a fabulous breakfast buffet included. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and would go the extra mile to see that your stay was the best experience, where you felt like a God.

We arrived earlier than check in hours, and were welcome with a huge smiley staff member at the reception that immediately suggested us to get a treat of breakfast which was really kind because we basically didn't pay for it. Also they provided us with towels and let us use the the pool - all that before even we got the room. Staff: AMAZING! The location is just perfect! 1 minute from the bus station, 1 minute from the beach. Room is spacy. Breakfast was delicious.

getting around Fira was as easy as you can navigate by...

getting around Fira was as easy as you can navigate by walking. most spots are nearer accommodation areas. eating places are a lot. the hiking was my enjoyable experience. it has activated my fitness plan

It was a lovely experience!

It was a lovely experience! The host Stavi was very helpful and accommodating! The views from the Villa are beautiful! I loved that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but just the right location to enjoy a peaceful and tranquil stay! Not far from the centre so it was just right for our family! The breakfast was amazing and everything right on time! Cant recommend enough !

Liked that it was away from Fira. Fira so crowded. One day 6 cruise ships in Port. We ate 2 nights at Romantica taverna. Traditional Greek restaurant, good food and happy staff. Easy to walk around in you don't mind stairs and uphill. Walk from Fira to Oia 10km, something to do and overview of area.

A village with bakery, gyros place, souvenir shop & good sized mini market. Walkable to Fura though a noisy main road. Buses good too but more value for money the further you are going. Taxis quite expensive so we walked a lot.

Beautiful village and I’m sure a couple of days would be a better length of stay. On both occasions we have visited we have had only one night there. Good choice of restaurants in easy walking distance. Lovely individual shops.

Third time to the island of Santorini. Twice to Kamari. Beautiful beach. Amazing atmosphere. Spoilt for choice for restaurants and things to do. Can be as high or low budget as you wish. The place to leave your life behind and rejuvenate. Solo travel, couples or family get away, Kamari serves all.

It's a beach with the space being mostly private, so you have to find a little public spot to stay there if you're not into cocktails. There are lot of slippery rocks on the ground too! But the water is warm and the waves are super chill. You can just float around or swim without any difficulty or major disturbances.
