It’s located in a very quiet neighborhood just outside of Igoumenitsa. The breakfast buffet was very nice and was located on the rooftop with great views of the surrounding area.

The pool area and views are what make this hotel extremely special and are why I would stay again, I could have happily spent every day there sunbathing with my book. The room was very comfortable and spacious with good aircon, a small fridge and a comfy bed. The balcony was nice for sunrise and sunset. The staff were all very friendly and made the visit extra special — thank you.

The town is situated in a very beautiful position and serves...
The town is situated in a very beautiful position and serves as an important transit point to reach Parga, Filates, Preveza, the ancient site of Nikopolis and Arta . In a period of three years, have been some considerable changes on the roads, mostly on the Northern side of the town. There are many bars and restaurants all along the front-side of the sea; with delicious menus. People in charge.. waiters, bartenders, are very friendly and much dedicated. It is easy to find a parking post all around the town.

There are lots of good reasonable restaurants to choose from and great beaches nearby
If you love to get out and about there are lots of places to visit like ioanina, parga, metsovo, meteora
It is good value for accommodation and eating out

Il Mare Plataria was everything we hoped for and more. Peaceful, tranquil, and surrounded by beautiful views, it was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The location is wonderful, with easy access to nearby towns and lovely fresh seafood taverns.

For a small town, Gliki has a lot of good facilities.
For a small town, Gliki has a lot of good facilities. There are multiple good restaurants, supermarkets and cafés. It is right next to the Acheron river, close to the sea and close to the mountains. So an ideal place to stay if you want to experience a bit of everything the area has to offer.

From Igumenica you may travel by ferry to Corfu, Italy coast...
From Igumenica you may travel by ferry to Corfu, Italy coast etc. also you may frequent the Syvota beach, the wonderful town of Parga, Filates, Paramythia....Preveza, Arta, the ancient city of Nicopolis, built by Octavian Augustus after the victory of the battle of Actium, against Mark Antony etc. Before you start moving around, better ask locals for the direction and exits.

Syvota is a charming small town, great place to set base and explore the surroundings. Rent a small boat, join the Paxos cruise, see as much as you can. Authentic little shops to buy handmade jewelry and gifts. Try the local cuisine.

I recommend Lithino restaurant.
Plataria was nor a very crowded place (even though my visit was in the heart of August) and features a very beautiful beach for swimming.

Port city.
Port city. People usually stay one night waiting for a ferry or arriving from one. But it has kilometers long beach just a busride away (Drepano, Makrigali). Restaurants are extremely cheap. Still, I would recommend to come by car, so you can visit Syvota-Bella Vraka, Parga, Plataria, Ammoudia (I recommend this for small children for it's shallow and very warm water). We really enjoyed fishing in the port before sunset.

We took a boat trip around the bays of Sivota at sundown and...
We took a boat trip around the bays of Sivota at sundown and it was exquisite. We swam in the sea where there were very few other people and got to watch the sun go down over Corfu. Seeing the mainland from the sea is toally different to being in Sivota itself. It was the highlight of the trip - along with the huge number of great value restaurants in Sivota with a fab choice of food to eat.

Just wonderful, we could have stayed there for ever.
Just wonderful, we could have stayed there for ever. So nice and quiet, the host is friendly and very helpful. There are restaurants, bars and a little market with fresh food nearby.
We loved our apartment with a nice balcony. In the evening you can watch the sunset from your balcony.
Igoumenitsa is not far, maybe 10 minutes with the car.
