1. away from crowds of Hong Kong : discovery bay itself is surrounded by beach and trees. Also , this is a good hotel to explore Lantau island (I took a 3.5 hour hiking from Tung Chung to Tai O, a historic fishing village ) and Peng Chau island of Hong Kong (another village that is 10 minutes ferry from Discovery bay's pier)
2. good value : typically a 4-star cosy hotel in Hong Kong with 32 square metre room space, at least HK$1800 per night
3. reliable transport service : bus route DB02R to airport running on a schedule once an hour , DB01R to subway station Tung Chung running on a schedule once every 15-20 minutes ), and a Kaito ferry service to Ping Chau island (around once an hour)
