- From $238.91 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 159 reviewsThe location was superb. Situated near the "unofficial" entry called either P3 or the "Auxiliary Flora Entrance". It's unofficial because the website doesn't list P3 but in any case Etno Garden Apartments is about a 5 min walk to this entry. No tickets are sold here. Just a hut that is manned starting at 7am to check your tickets. You will need to buy them online (recommended) or go to Entrance 1 or 2 and buy them there. Having them in advance though is key then you can just walk from Etno to get into the park. No need to deal with driving/parking. Last photo of map, I've circled P3 entry near Etno in red. Once through the checkpoint you walk down to the boat landing where you can catch one of the ferries to go to other parts of the park. I'd recommend uploading the Plitvice Mobile app (green background with a bear outlined in white) as it lays out different walking programs as well as info about the park and a good map. It's also easy to walk from Etno to the trails that are outside of the park but run along the top ridge. They offer great views during an early morning or evening walk. The other very surprising thing we found was their restaurant. We were not anticipating that we'd be able to find a decent meal due to the remoteness of the lake park. However Etno actually offered a great restaurant/menu selection with super friendly servers/service. We were there 3 days/two nights and ate every meal at the restaurant because it was not just convenient but delicious. The check in was great and easy. We arrived a bit early for check in but that was not a problem. Our apartments were ready (we were two couples, renting 2 apartments next door to each other) and the young guy that checked us in could not have been nicer. Also offering us good suggestions on how to tour the park. The staff continued to be attentive during our whole visit.Guest review byMicheleFrance
- From $85.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 617 reviewsCamping Korana was the perfect place to stay during our visit to Plitvice Lakes National Park. The location is ideal – just the right distance from the park, making it easy to get there early while still enjoying some peace and quiet away from the crowds. The campsite itself was spotless. Everything was very clean and well-maintained, which made our stay super comfortable. One of the highlights was the breakfast – generous, fresh, and a great way to start the day before heading out to explore the lakes.Guest review byPatriziaUnited States

The staff are super friendly and our room was very comfortable as well. The very positive point for me was the car charger in the hotel which makes it very convenient to charge my car during the trip. The restaurant is also a good (price, quality and variety).Guest review byFelipe ArturItaly

Plitvice lakes and park is a wonderful place to visit.
Plitvice lakes and park is a wonderful place to visit. Just the price for it is too high to my oppinion. And overcrowded as well. Also be prepared for a long or very long walk (deppends on route selected). Tickets in advance reccomended because sometimes it takes too longto get, because of lots of visitors.Guest review byRamasItaly - 8.0
We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice.
We stayed in Grabovac as we wanted to visit Plitvice. We booked our tickets a day before for 7am. I'm glad we went early as from 9am the park was very busy. We used entrance 2, for a longer walk (but not the longest), it was very good until we reached entrance 1 (by small ferry) which was extremely busy. I do not recommend entrance 1 as the queue for ferry was very very long. Generally avoid busy periods if you want to enjoy nature.Guest review byKatarzynaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is a great place to base yourself when visiting the Plitvice NP. We only did a one night stay on transit between Zagreb and Zadar. There are lots of different sights to see, so wish we had a few days. There are caves and more waterfalls to see outside the National Park. The main township was much bigger than we expected. Amazing area. We ate at the family owned restaurant in a big orange building on the Eastern edge of Korenica, Restaurant Sapena. Fabulous grilled trout, and the best grilled meat platter ever.Guest review byMelissaAustralia - 10.0

You really need several days to visit what that place has to offer. Don’t miss the Spelaton center and Barać caves. We been on Barac Traill race and the organizers really do the best of them. Also don’t miss the fast food in rakovica on road by the Apartment green park with delicious burgers.Guest review byVedranBosnia and Herzegovina - 10.0

The most wonderful 2 night short stay to explore Jezerce and the magnificent UNESCO heritage Plitvice Lakes. We were using public transport to travel and got by easily inspite the same. Though the hotel does not serve lunch and dinner there is a fabulous restaurant across the road serves local cuisine. A 25 30 mins walk to the super market if u need essentials. The hotel will drop you and pick you up as well from the lakes for 10 Euro x 2 persons to entrance 2. Lala the owner is an extremely efficient Host and takes care of all your needs, and she needs to be informed of your requests. We did the 7.00 am first slot, H walk inside the Plitvice Lakes which covered both Upper and lower lakes n took around 3.30 mins fast walk and around 7-8 kms. We were the first to finish in our group of around 40 60 persons. The crowd built up towards the end of our walk from the opposite direction,by which time we had almost completed our walk. The bus inside the lake picked us up at 8.00 am from the starting point towards our first part of the walk, was an easy walk all the way slope downwards and then an electric 10 mins boat ride across the lake ,refreshed ourselves at the cafe. Kindly note that across Croatia only cash is accepted, but here in the lakes u pay by card, which we did not carry, but a wonderful lady did pay on out behalf by her card and we paid her the cash. This is NOT mentioned on your tickets ,but only at the entrance of the park. The bus stop which is the first stop (towards Zagreb) and last stop at Mukhinje (from Zagreb)is around 650 meters walk to the property from the bus stop for the Plitvice lakes is Not mentioned on your bus ticket (Flixbus)and the walk takes 10 mins with your bags ,and a small part of the walk is on the highway on the side, while the rest of the walk winds through an internal road. In the evenings we just explored the neighbourhood fields n internal village roads and loved it.Guest review byjimmyIndia - 8.0

This town is very close to Plitvice and a great place to stay for less money than the official Plitvice hotels. There are a couple of restaurants in town, Restoran Degenija serves delicious food, a bit upscale, though not too expensive. Most of the town is on the main road to Plitvice, so there is a lot of traffic.Guest review byMonikaUnited States - 10.0

We were there in April and went just for Plitvic lakes, it was quite cold in the morning & evening, glad we had our puffer jackets. An absolute bonus was the gorgeous little village of Rastoke, stunning and the best food of our entire 2 weeks in Croatia.Guest review byVickiNew Zealand - 10.0
Wonderful place!
Wonderful place! Close to Plitvica Jezera and to Bosna, you can reach a long list of beautiful towns and natural sites in a short time driving, both in Hrvatska and Bosna. The village is small and quiet with gourgeous natural areas all around (not only Plitvice or Una river Narodni Park...). An excellent choice, highly recommended!Guest review byPierpaoloItaly - 10.0
Amazing national park with several options to experience it,...
Amazing national park with several options to experience it, depending on how far you want to walk. A combination of walking, shuttle bus and ferry will cover all the main sights (all covered in the ticket price). Get there early and see as much as you can - you'll be gobsmacked at the beauty of the lakes and waterfalls. There are a number of food outlets at the entrances and within the park if you can't bring your own. If you are staying in the area, there are a number of bistros and places to eat in the vicinity - but you will need a car to get around easily.Guest review byDamianAustralia
