The hotel is located ona small street which limits car traffic and accompanying noise. The building is beautifully designed with a lovely atrium occupied by a fish pond and water plants. The stairwell is lighted during the day by a beautiful stained glass panel. The room was large with a large bed and pullout sofa. The bath was clean, and shower enjoyable. The WiFi was fine. The staff were incredibly attentive, and kind. They helped arrange a car with a driver who spoke English and took us everywhere we wanted to go. The lobby is cool and breezy with free freshly made Javan coffee on request. We also liked the small fruit stand and restaurants which we patronized right next door. We would definitely lke to stay there again.

Great hotel with modern, spacious and clean room. Very comfortable bed and with strong pressure and hot water. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the staff was really polite and helpful. Real value for your money!

All pieces of furniture are high quality, the staff is kind and professional, there is excellent coffee and a large and rich breakfast. They have an exceptional collection of books about Javanese culture and sights. A good Padang food resto, Aroma Baru and the "gudeg-street" is in walking distance, as well as the palace, the Sonobudoyo Museum and Jl. Malioboro.

I love this hotel. It is very convenient for lay overs at Yogyakarta International, efficient transfers to and from airport. Beautiful and modern design, many areas to relax. Great coffe at the coffee bar, and breakfast or room service. Cool pool :). Perfect for connections with super clean rooms, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, tooth brush and paste, sewing kit, shoe polish..etc... BUT... for me the staff.. every department, so friendly and accommodating . They went out of their way to provide me me with wifi connection while there was a temporary wifi problem. You can be sure to be looked after. I stayed there twice and they will be always my choice of accommodation.  Thank you to all the beautiful staff of Grand Dafam Yogyakarta. Much much appreciated :)

Spacious room, clean, complimentary shampoo/body lotion/toothbrush, clean nice big towels, clean and big bed, work desk, big tv, AC working great, water dispensers in every hallway so you can always get water if you are thirsty. Very nice staff. Gym is ok, small but ok for a quick workout just to keep moving while on vacation/business trip. Breakfast is great, very big buffet, lots of choices, very nice people working there. Location is great, walk 10-15 minutes everywhere we liked or drove with Grab in 10 minutes everywhere else that was not walkable (malls, Malioboro street, etc.). Oh and great water pressure and hot water!!! Finally!!

    there is an outdoor food centre just nearby, the local supermarket and laundromat are about 10 minutes walking. the location is in the middle between Malioboro street and Prambanan so getting around between both were convinience. If you want to go to a bigger and classy mall it was not that far away as well by using Grab which is much cheaper to go to. Prices for food is really affordable as there are restaurants that are student friendly budget that we can enjoy.

    Couldn't say much as it was a village. We didn't explore much outside the resort except eat at the restaurant nightly. The locals are friendly though but that's probably because we spoke Bahasa to them. We tried to cycle around with the free bicycles offered by our resort but it proved too strenuous as the area is hilly! Cycling downhill was fun but I couldn't say the same for cycling uphill.

    Its an absolutely brilliant place to visit with some hidden gems, Borobudur temple, prambanan temple, yogyakarta city, Jomblang caves. You can easily spend close to a week there and city has a great arts scene and lot of live performances in the evening. City crowds are absolutely lively and fun :). People are relaxed and evenings were a lot of fun. Ramayana Ballet is a must visit, its a 90 minute performance absolutely stunning. Water Castle of Yogyakarta is a small visit along the way but quite beautiful along with the royal palace. Malioboro square has lot of shopping options and food options are quite good as well. Visit the cafe next to Bank Indonesia, its a nice surprise.

    I spent 3 nights in Yogyakarta and I loved it.

    I spent 3 nights in Yogyakarta and I loved it. It’s a less touristy city, full of culture and history. The pace of life is slower compared to Bali, but still very enjoyable. Gojek and Grab also work well here. I highly recommend not missing Prambanan and Borobudur. Both are absolutely worth visiting, and if you have the time, it’s best to do them on separate days so you can take your time to explore and enjoy each site fully. Keep in mind that not everyone speaks English, so I often used a translator to communicate.
