- couldn’t possibly be in a better location - quaint feel of the hotel, and attic windows looking out onto the water is just so pretty - bath is great - easy check-in - stepping out of the ferry right into your hotel couldn’t be more convenient - picturesque town, right down the hill from the train station - perfect breakfast with friendly staff in the breakfast room - just everything

This is a secret gem in Como. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking which takes 25min to Como or if you prefer with bikes which hotel provides. Breakfast is exceptional, served in such a perfect ambiance with good selections for everyones choice, staff is super friendly and helpfull, but Mattia is an example how one should manage a hotel, we really felt so welcomed and appreciated. They made my birthday weekend so special I can not wait to come back again!!

Como Hills hotel was one of the most wonderful holiday experiences. The hotel staff is INCREDIBLE. Super polite and friendly always ready to help us in any possible way. The breakfast menu was very rich as well as the dinner menu. The pool is very clean and large. The facility is very family friendly. I would totally recommend this hotel

    It is a wondeful city with Ferries' pier, making it easy to reach and explore all famous cities of the lake Como (Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). One must be ready to wake up early, at 6 AM to buy full-day Ferry ticket. Once it is done, the Como lake can be explored freely with no need to stay in the queues.

    Bellagio is a beautiful place, though it can be quite busy and crowded. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an unpleasant encounter with a policewoman who was not friendly at all. We had just arrived and accidentally parked in a residential parking area. Despite our attempt to explain the mistake and our immediate departure, she issued us a ticket. On top of our already tight schedule, we then had to spend time figuring out how and where to pay the fine.

    A beautiful town on the shores of Lake Como. Plenty to do and the town has excellent amenities. The promenade along the side of the lake is fantastic but the old town a few streets in is also great to wander around.

    Loved Menaggio - the location is right on Lake Como - plenty of eating options and all in easy walking distance. Prking is an issue though - in August anyway. Everyone in the town is very friendly. Having the ferry service at Menaggio is useful for getting easily to other towns on the Lake - much quicker than driving.

    Extremely beautiful village very clean, even in middle of July, it did not feel overcrowded, easy walk to all attractions, Villa Monastero gardens is a must. Enjoyed, 4hrs in Billagio for sightseeing and shopping although very crowded. Side trip via bus to the gorge in Bellano was a highlight. Note: This was our 60th wedding anniv.

    A hidden gem, smaller than more touristy towns like Varenna or Bellagio but with 2 great beaches next to each other on the lake with very safe swimming areas. Lots of opportunities to try watersports like paddleboarding, kayaking and windsurfing. Lots of restaurants to choose from, main waterfront square is the main hub at night with good food choices and spectacular views of lake and mountains. Everything walkable, we had a car and so meant we could also have some sightseeing days, Varenna and Bellano both 20-30 mins away, Bellagio about 80 mins.

    It's a cute town with some lovely restaurants and easy enough to walk around for someone of average fitness. However if your purpose is to explore most of Lake Como, you will be limited to the slow ferry up to Bellagio / Varenna / Menaggio which takes 2-3hours. We had originally booked to stay in Varenna but cancelled due to works on the train line to get there. It still would have been a better option, or just staying in Como town to access the fast ferry. Most of the private boat tours also pick up from Como or from the "Golden Triangle" of the lake.

    I’d definetly book this place again, great views. It was fairly easy to get to and from, bit of a long journey but didn’t mind. The staff were great and the other people staying were nice to very international and friendly oh and I loved seeing peoples dogs but I’m not sure if they were staying there? The room was clean, beds comfortable, WiFi not sure it worked, breakfast good and fair price.

    Pretty little lake side town across lake from Lecco. Easy walk of 25 mins to Lecco centre with plenty of local restaurants and supermarkets/marts within walking distance. Free parking around area as well if happy to walk a bit to where you are staying if in apartment vs hotel

We chose restaurants based on our favorite Italian rule: go where the locals go. Luckily, there are very few tourists in Mandello, so it was easy to find good places with tasty and cheap food. We moved around the city on foot. You have to take into account that the city is located at the base of a mountain, and part of the time you have to walk uphill.
