United StatesPerfect location in the center of San Gimignano. It’s a beautiful historic property with modern amenities. Our room and bathroom were large and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the hills in the distance (room 40); photo attached. We asked for a quiet room, so we were on the back corner of the hotel which was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast for 12 euros per person was well worth the cost. There were plenty of choices and the food was very good. If we return to San Gimignano we will definitely stay here again!

"The place is very clean and absolutely beautiful. I loved how it has preserved its old charm in such an elegant way. The hotel is a historic palace, and some rooms still maintain the original wall paintings, which is truly fascinating. Inside the palace, there is also a cave and five indoor and outdoor thermal pools filled with natural hot sulfur water. The pools rely entirely on natural thermal waters coming from the mountain springs. These springs are rich in minerals such as sulfates, calcium, and magnesium, making them therapeutic and beneficial for the joints, skin, and overall relaxation, without any chlorine. The ladies at the reception were very kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. My stay was wonderful, and I will definitely repeat it."

Amazing experience with breathtaking views over the Tuscan hills. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Tuscany’s more touristic villages. We truly enjoyed our stay, especially the excellent food—pizza and pasta nights were a highlight. A big thanks to the dedicated staff who made our visit so memorable!

The grounds are beautiful and it is very peaceful and quiet. The staff is AMAZING! Super friendly and very kind because we only speak English. The pools are perfect. We stayed with our 2 teenagers and we all had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this resort.

It is a perfect family place. The beach is very close and there are markets around to shop. They have parking area for our car. And the bungalow are really cozy and has almost all the essentials to cook ☺️

Pisa is a wonderful city to explore.
Pisa is a wonderful city to explore. It has so much to offer. From the train station up to the river there are side streets, main alleys to walk through and see modern shops but once you get across the river it is quite magical. So much history and side streets and beautiful buildings topped off with the tower complex which is just jaw dropping. We loved the restaurants the people and just everything really.

As one of many hilltop towns we visited, we found Volterra to be a favourite. Perhaps less flashy in the Etruscan style, It was also quieter than most towns and the vibe was more artisan focused than tourist focused - Still friendly, but shopkeepers seemed just as focused on working on their craft as they did wooing customers into buy it. We found this refreshing and perhaps a different glimpse into everyday life. We found Rich Steves' description of Volterra very accurate.

Were there off-season: very few people, many places closed, lots of free parking space everywhere!
Rather complicated access to the beaches.
Beware of leaving bikes, even if locked in remote places, the tyres of our bikes had been punctured, probably in preparation to be stolen later at night.
Else, wonderful natural beaches nearby and other natural reserves.

San Miniato is a charming hilltop town with beautiful views and a relaxed, authentic Tuscan atmosphere.
The historic center is lovely to walk through, with narrow streets, old stone buildings, and great viewpoints.
It’s a peaceful town with excellent local food, especially truffles and traditional Tuscan dishes.
Perfect location for exploring the region — close to Pisa, Florence, Lucca, and the surrounding countryside.

We ate at Nonna Mara pizzeria which was lovely with no reservation needed. BardoVino ristorante was also very nice but you need to book to eat there. More expensive than the pizzeria but delicious food.

This place had all of the essentials for a restful holiday. it isn't luxurious but extremely peaceful and relaxed. It was perfect for us.
it"s a 25 minute drive to the dog beach. All kinds of restaurants and villages are very close.
We weren't looking for nightlife, we just enjoyed the stars and our dog enjoyed his freedom within the safety of the vast fenced property.

We stayed in the old town area for our stay and found it compact and easy to wander through at our leisure. Plenty nice cafes, bars and restaurants on offer and the local people were very friendly although some of the Taxi drivers we had were a tad reckless. All in all a really nice stay and I would definitely recommend a day or 2 here to soak it all up.

A beautiful little town to vitit in one day but a tourist trap in some ways.Mediocre glass of wine for €9 and platters with mediocre cold cuts and cheese platter. Let me give a little advice to the many tourists who want to discover Italian food: GO TO THE SOUTH (I want to say that I am not from the south), it's a little weird to see so many tourists eating pizza in Tuscany. What I really liked is their local “ little salty” beer. Of course there many beautiful places not very far from Volterra worth to visit: Siena, Certaldo, San Gimignano with much nicer sorroundings (obviously it's my personal opinion).

Location of the property. You should have a car to roam around if you are staying at this property. Plenty of walking options around the beach. good restaurants near by.
Hotel restaurant has limited varieties. morning breakfast is minimal. they charge you 8Euro for omelette which is nonsense to my view. you cannot say breakfast included and add some addons to it to loot people instead of serving better food.
Staff need to be trained to serve customers better. if you want to be truly international, you need to come out of that aggressive talking to customer ( may be Italian nature).

This hotel is situated in the most beautiful spot. San Miniato feels like you’re stepping back in time, it’s absolutely beautiful. The hotel receptionist was so friendly and welcoming.
The hotel actually looked a little dated online, but once you’re there you realise it’s simply very Tuscan in style - understated, traditional, and full of character. Everything was immaculately clean, and the air conditioning worked brilliantly, which was much appreciated after long walks in the heat.
If you’re looking for bright lights and ultra-modern luxury like Dubai, this probably isn’t for you. But if you want an authentic, traditional Tuscan experience full of charm and history, it’s perfect.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return here.
