Modern room and very nice staff I will definitely recommend
I had a fantastic short stay at Karibea Saint Luce Hotel. Everything about the experience was enjoyable—from the warm hospitality to the excellent accommodations. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing the perfect space to relax.
The food was also a highlight of my stay. Every meal was delicious, with a great variety of options that truly enhanced the experience. The hotel's atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was top-notch.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay. I look forward to visiting again in the future!

Honestly, everything was wonderful except for one issue. When I arrived at the hotel, I was supposed to check in at 3:00 PM, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to do so until around 5:00 PM. This delay was quite frustrating, as I believe check-in should happen exactly at the scheduled time.
That being said, I truly loved the staff — they were amazing, very friendly, helpful, and always welcomed us with a smile. The food was also excellent, the atmosphere was great, and overall, everything else was absolutely wonderful.
The hotel is simply amazing. The views of the ocean in front of the hotel are gorgeous. Especially during the sunrise. Add on the mountain backdrop and you have a picture perfect vacation. The bar had good drinks.
The staff was amazing. Very friendly and the family was top notch clean. A beach resort with zero sand on the tile. Good value and this competes with your top tier hotels.
It's a brutal place. It is my favorite place. since I stayed the first time until now. This is my fourth time staying with my family. Recommended for rest and family.

I imagine that the big resorts in Punta Cana are nice. The rest of the town is just a run down beach town geared for tourists. Poorly planned and even more poorly maintained. It's pretty much a smaller, dirtier version of Jacksonville, Florida.

Nice getaway, great for a long weekend. Good for girls trip with lots of nightlife and great restaurants,. What is great is that you have the convenience of using the dollar and US stores like Walgreens. So it is super convenient and easy to navigate.

The colonial Zone of Santo Domingo is stunning, with a lot of Museums, A beautiful Cathedral, a very active nightlife, cafes, restaurants a so much. Perfect for walking and relaxing, very Bohemian vibe. Recomendations: Mosquito bar, La casa del ron with a stunning view of the Cathedral and Sabina with a very bohemian style. If you want a more modern vibe then stay in the Piantini district, With a lot of modern bars, restaurants like Sarah and a lot roof top around the city. and a very cosmopolitan vibe, however, be aware that the traffic is chaotic and stressful during peak hours. If you visit Santo Domingo please go to the beach, Close by Bocha Chica, A little bit far away but worth it is La Romana and Punta Cana.

We drove thru the main town by the bridge on Sunday and it was very busy and couldn't find a place to park that was close for my elder parent to walk and sightsee..but it looked like it was the center of the commerical tourist part of town.

Food was not good. Service at the Buffet could have been much better. Rooms need attention. Lights need to be brighter, fans need controls, our door lock needed repair to lock. No water pressure in sink. The resort was attractive & kept clean.

The entertainment staff made you feel welcomed. The dining was excellent. Great food and service. We were impressed. Thanks to the staff in the Rose Hall Dining area especially Darren and Trudy Ann. Rooms were kept clean and tidy. We enjoyed the karaoke too.

It's a quaint little town.
It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.

Our only complaint about the beach is no refreshment facilities....need to take drinks with you or walk a way down to get a restaurant. The TRYP beach umberlelas and loungers were good. Water sports close by . Beach clean and water beautiful

Wonderful place.
Wonderful place. We enjoyed everything about it (find the little gem which is the natural mineral pool - so refreshing!). The staff are wonderful -- friendly, helpful and attentive. The singing chef making our eggs at breakfast is a superstar! As a place to chill out and have some 'us time' it was perfect. Highly recommend it.

Las Terrenas is a lovely northern town on the Samana peninsula.
If you want a chilled out vibe, full of locals and nice easy access to different beaches then this is your place.
I went as a solo female traveller and found it very good, generally safe, did not feel threatened which is important when you're alone.
Plenty of places to eat, but I would do your research first. The food was good, but often the service at restaurants was not so good. Cheap prices.
Margarita Bar - inexpensive, amazing quesadillas
Gelateria Italiana Artesanal - cute ice cream parlour
El Loro - great beach snacks
Ristorante Pizzeria Nonna Teresa - a fab family run italian with fresh pasta
El Lugar - full options and good tapas style food
Boulangerie Francaise - a cute bakery
Empanadas y Más - didn't try, but known to have the best empanadas
Pizza Coco - go-to amazing cheap delicious pizza
Super Mercado Lindo - closest large supermarket if you want options
20-30 min walk or you can get a taxi/bike.
Easiest ways to get around if you don't want to rent a drive is the men that drive the scooters, they all wear yellow high vis jackets so that you know they are safe, you pay them anywhere between $200-500 pesos equivalent to $3 for a short ride from A>B.
But the dune buggies and quad bikes are popular for tourists to use.
I highly recommend getting to see Limon Waterfalls, and I did a day trip to visit 4 secluded beaches.

Out of the beaches tried, Playa Las Ballenas was the calmest, but nice waters and quieter vibe to Punta Popy.
Overall joyous experience for a solo traveller, I stayed at TAKUMA Hotel.
