I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

Best value in Wilpattu, guide and owner is very attentative and organized. He is an avid photographer and leopard seeker. We did a full day and half day safari. This was the highlight of the trip and ended up seeing 3 leopards and a sloth bear thanks to their patience and skills. Not to mention candle lit dinners every night.

Without doubt, Arachchi Heritage is the best place we stayed in Anuradapura, during our time in Sri Lanka ! Excellent services from arrival to departure. The staff was extremely friendly, we felt very homely. Great view of Lake 'Thisa' and most of the key pagodas in Anuradapura. Breathtaking view in the early morning. Food, love it 😍. Arachchi Heritage carries sentimental values and heritage of essence of Sri Lanka. If you are looking for a place to stay which you can connect with the environment and oneself , Arachchi Heritage is a place you must consider. Definitely will come back when we visit Sri Lanka next year.

Chaya is amazing. She was so kind and so helpful. We were not able to coordinate the cooking class, but enjoyed Chaya's amazing cooking. The property was very secluded and quiet. The room was clean and roomy. Saw lots of amazing birds. The place is about 8 km from the main sites, but we were self-driving so not an issue.

    It is one of the best locations, slightly hot and humid, but if you love history and sightseeing, you cannot miss this location, further you can travel to multiple historic locations from here, we travelled to Mihinthale Temple and Mahiyangana, the drive was scenic, but Mihinthale will take your breath.

    Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants roam. Take a short drive to Ritigala and be amazed at the heritage site of a millenia old large forest monastery. Dine at the Ran Rasa restaurant for one of the best Chicken Koththus you will taste..

Established by King Pandukabhaya, it served as the majestic capital of Sri Lanka for over a millennium, playing a pivotal role in the island's Buddhist heritage and cultural evolution. The arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, introduced by Mahinda Thera in the 3rd century BCE, marked a transformative era for Anuradhapura.     Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife
