This hotel more than met my expectations. While it was a bit of a distance from the bus station (I was travelling to San Miguel) it was well worth the taxi expense to get there. Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff and a great room with a wonderful view of Guadalajara.

The room is clean and big , it has every thing you need. The parking lot is big and comfortable. But the break fast is not good enough , the food is ok , no many choices . I got sick when I arrived and asked for plate of rice they didn’t have so I ask for a caldo de pollo … surprise it has rice . Then I ask for olive oil and they didn’t olive oil . So the kitchen is not good , the service is great .

Everything is great in this place. The rooms, the location, the staff. The only thing I might say it can improve is the pool, it’s very small for the amount of people staying, I couldn’t even use it because it was full of people. Other than that it was quite a great experience

The weather and the heat was a very welcome change from our very cold winter. The ocean view from our balcony was very good. The staff were welcoming, accommodating and efficient. I needed a fridge for my medication and they were able to provide me with one. The hotel was disappointing, and needs an uplift: Too noisy; too crowded in the dining area; food only so-so; terrible coffee. In this day and time most hotels provide fridges in the rooms. The beach was nice and long but more shelters are needed.

If you want a lot of action and partying you'd probably prefer Puerto vallarta or other places. Melaque is cozy and much less touristy, more a mom and pop vibe than a mall. Hotel Aurelia, wonderful , say hi to Cindy. A little place called Sabor de México was great, say hi to Lupita! The walk along the malecon and very long beach, watching pelicans dive for fish, fishermen, sunrise, sunset.

Its a magical town of mexico.

Its a magical town of mexico. I love its weather and off course food. I think they have to renew their cabanas because its tourist place and some cabana are in very bad condition . It effects on tourists. But over all mazamitla is just amazing place to visit. I personally went there last week and almost every week i spend my vacations there bcz of its weather and calm ambience. Its basically relax me and take my stress out.

We didn’t expect the town was large with wonderful restaurants and many colonial period buildings. There are lots of things to do and very accessible to the lake, nearby towns and archeological sites such as Tzintzuntzan. We had three wonderful dinners at El Patio, Pialnare and Musi. We also visited isla de Janitzio and tge nearby twin of copper, Santa Clara del Cobre. We drove to the tiwn but we took local cabs to the center which was easy even with our service dog.

Just come prepared to relax and know that some days might be too humid or hot for what you had planned, so have an alternate plan. We enjoyed the pool and its slides, the tennis in the morning, walks on the golf course and the tours offered by the tour operator in the lobby. Saw lots of ibis, heron, a black hawk, osprey and more on the property. Of course, no visit would be complete without seeing the coatis.

Our first time to Ixtapa/Zihautanejo.

Our first time to Ixtapa/Zihautanejo. Ixtapa is full of mostly all-inclusive resorts catering to tourists and has very little charm. Zihautanejo on the other hand is full of friendly restaurants, bars, shops and has way more charm. We loved being at Playa la Ropa on the weekend and being with Mexican families sharing time together.

The city was nice but the hotel was not.

The city was nice but the hotel was not. It really need an update. For the money it cost to stay there, you would think it had to be better. I would never go again. Also be very careful at the beach. DO NOT GO IN THE WATER. The whole time we were there they has RED Flags Waring. A big group party of people were staying next to us at the hotel. In one of the last night we stayed, We started to hear a lot of people crying. One of the man in the group had gone in the beach/ocean got caught in the waves and drowned. It was so sad that we left early.
