My main concern during my stay there was the hangout spots, especially at night. Since we all know Kuantan is Negeri Darul Event, I purposely came on weekdays. There are a lot of cafes, and if you stay nearby or in Kuantan city, some of them are within walking distance. During my stay there, i fully depending on the public transport and grab obv. I managed to try some of the famous things like Kula Cakes, celup tepung and the “tourist beach.” I haven’t tried their truly authentic local food yet or fully experienced the nature and culture due to my short stay but I definitely will someday. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend it for solo travelers.Guest review byA'nas - 6.0

Cameron Highlands was really nice — the weather was perfect, and it felt peaceful being away from the city noise. But weekends can be a nightmare: the market areas were packed, parking was a struggle, and traffic heading towards Brinchang was just terrible. Definitely a great escape, but try to go on a weekday if you want some peace.Guest review byKogiMalaysia - 8.0

Genting Island offers a thrilling escape with a mix of adventure, culture, and indulgence. The theme parks are the crown jewel—bursting with adrenaline-pumping rides and family-friendly attractions that keep the energy high. The cable car ride is a serene contrast, gliding above lush rainforest with panoramic views that feel almost cinematic. At the heart of the island’s spiritual charm lies the Chin Swee Chinese Temple, a peaceful sanctuary nestled in the clouds, rich with intricate carvings and cultural symbolism. For those craving retail therapy, the outlet mall delivers with top brands at discounted prices, while dining options range from sizzling street food to upscale international cuisine. Genting Island masterfully blends nature, entertainment, and tradition, making it a must-visit for thrill-seekers, culture lovers, and shopaholics alike. Whether you're chasing rollercoasters or quiet moments, this mountaintop retreat has something for every kind of traveler.Guest review byShah_TausifCanada - 8.0
Don't bother come during weekend/school holidays.
Don't bother come during weekend/school holidays. You will be the victim of standstill traffic. If weekend/school holidays is your only option, come way early in the morning, like, latest 7-7.30 am arrival at Cameron areas.Guest review bySufienaMalaysia - 10.0

Brinchang is a pleasant town with locals and tourists in the midst. It has schools, a Chinese temple, a mosque, and a Hindu temple, offering a mix of culture and, most importantly, a variety of cuisines from the three primary cultures in Malaysia: Malays, Chinese, and Indians. It has easy access to the Boh Plantation in Sungai Palas, Kea Farm and is very near Tanah Rata. Each of these towns offers a unique blend of attractions to explore, and you will notice different vibes as the tourist demographics shift. There is also plenty of greenery in Brinchang, with forests, hills, and plantations. Hiking is a great way to experience Brinchang.Guest review bySYMalaysia - 10.0

We're vegans and it was a bit challenging to find food without meat but it was possible. Lots of restaurants. No ATM but there is an ATM at the resort across the river. People were infallibly kind and friendly. If you like trekking in the jungle, this is a great place to be.Guest review byFisherMalaysia - 8.0
The hot spring pool is good and well maintained.
The hot spring pool is good and well maintained. The rooms are neat and clean except not enough chairs and lack a small table. Have to drive 12 km away for lunch and diner on a narrow and winding road.Guest review byLarryMalaysia - 8.0

Cherating is a nice place to stay due to its beach, scenery, food and resorts, hotels nearby. But during peak season, u need to plan much earlier to avoid staying in discomfort resorts or old resorts or old hotel. You can find a good resort with nice environment and scenery if u have ample time to make a research or survey and surprisingly there are upcoming resorts which i am looking to stay but its fully occupied.Guest review byAbu Bakar - 10.0
